What Students Say

Likes

i liked that my course students are really very good and supportive, its not like they have attitude or something, everyone is down to earth
social networking part is also good and there are many events happening so i enjoy being a part of those events and interacting with people
marking system is good and my college renovated just now so infrastructure is also very cool and attractive

Dislikes

once they said that we have to complete 50% attendance so i had to face difficulties with my internship
the faculty is good but most of the teachers are either strict, or brag unnecessarily and makes it difficult for us to attend the lectures
the placement is not that good as i asked my seniors and they said that only 2-4 companies came to our college

Course Curriculum Overview

i chose this course because i am interested in multi media and there is a vast scope out there after i finish this course and they should b corporatieve with studenten and should understand their side too they should let us do internships andd everything coz out career is dependent on our portfolio and our portfolio will only improve if we do internships and participate in events they should give 3 hours for one paper to make it a bit easy for students

Class Size: 120Course Fees: INR 37326 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

last year my fees was 39000 and now its around 37000 registration fees was 100 some courses are paying 100000 although earlier their fees was 65000 in my course for second year earlier their fees was 35000 and now its 37000 not a big increase but it has increased my college does not give a hostel so we have to find our own pg or flat

Campus Life

Callisto and mystique are the two events i can think of at the moment we don't have a very big library and i've never been there but i've heard that there are not much books available in the library we have smart board,AC and fans on out classrooms that is good enough for us

Admission

i applies in many colleges like xaviers, mithibai, jai hind,kc,dgcm i got admission in KC and DGMC i chose this college because my course here is very good and this college has a good name out there i didn't get admission in other colleges beacuse of my low percentage in 12th and in entrance we have to fill HSNC univ form and then hr college form there is no entrance exam in my college they give admission based on 12th percentile

Faculty

3.5

faculty to student relationship is not that great as some teachers are biased and give good marks to only those who she knows i personally like bharti mam as she was the sweetest and best teacher ever i don't like jalaja mam and nishka mam and nidhi mam as jalaja mam was way too strict and nishka mam brag about unnecessary things and nidhi mam is very biased between students there are 6 final exams 6 internal exams and 6 sles in our 3 year course as marking system is lenient less students tend to fail

SPC from a TYBA students POV

Likes

Kalamandal (like theatre club), it’s a different world and it’s magical.
December to March is the college fests time and it’s super lively and fun
Psychology, Sociology & Philosophy departments have amazing professors. They’re smart, helpful and actually care for their students

Dislikes

Except for Psyc, Socio& Philo other departments are awful specially the English department. The HOD herself speaks horrible English and doesn’t even know any books of jane Austin besides pride and prejudice.
The toilets are horrible and never clean and are barely open even. The canteens are also okayish at most.
The management and accounts department are horribly slow

Course Curriculum Overview:

It's good, it's fun and I enjoy it. It changes every sem and that's why we also get to explore more of the subjects. It also depends on the professor tho. First year is to chose 6 different subjects and explore. Then second year you get to choose one major and two minors. Major are then divided into 3 parts, the 2 minor subject are elaborated and one compulsory subject which is English, this continues for third year. There are 2-3 additional subjects that change every sem too like PE, EVS, etc.

Remarks:

For a person who into music production this is the best course and College but any other music field consider other options. The administration is too poor and are harsh on the students but the teaching faculty is supportive.

Remarks:

The college management has appointed a student council who look after all the needs of the students and is responsible and accountable to manage and follow up different activities, events and functions throughout the year. They are the main link between all the societies working in the college and team members of these societies.

Best College For Personal Growth

I applied to Somaiya along with H.R. I did not accept somaiya as they dont have BAF program. I also chose this college mostly because it has more than 50 clubs and so much exposure. The admission in H.R. is simple. You have to fill application on HSNC university website. Fill your details. Wait for merit list and you get admission if you pass the eligibility criteria which is 70% for sindhis and 80% for open category. Only if you want admission in BMS, you have to give an entrance exam of H.R. itself....Read More

We are the BRAND AMBASSADORS from H.R

I had applied for N.M college , K.C college and Jai hind college. I got in in all three of them . I chose H.R. college because of its leniency with CA aspirants. And also when I connected with the alumi of the college , they had me sold with their fattering about the college and the faculties. The admission process is very very simple, apply along with your documents and wait for the merit list announcements, no such complications...Read More

Jai Hind is where I was eligible and suburbs colleges were also something that I would have got. However studying in churchgate is always a novelty and studying in HR is even bigger novelty. All thanks to my stars that I am from Mumbai as otherwise for me to get admission here would have needed nearly 95% in HSC....Read More
