Life at NIT Agartala: A Perfect Blend Of Academics, Opportunitites, and Campus Vibes

Basically the syllabus of my brach is too old. But that's what is totally related to further studies at research. All the course sturcture is relevant to GATE syllabus for ECE. This course also helps me to learn real world applications when i join my research project. But that will be very good improvement if techers from branch actually check how much student understand the subject and real world application of that subjects. Some practical knowledge related to Hardware board like FPGA should be provide to students to show them what they are learning in practical.

NIT Agartala provides good internship opportunities from third year,with roles in software, electronics, and data analytics. Companies offer internship with stipend upto 50000?month, depending on role. students work on real-world projects, ganing practical experience in coding,circuit design, and research. These internships help build technical skills and industry exposure, preparing students for future careers.

Placments at NIT Agartala are strong, with students becoming eligible for campus recruitment from 7th semester. Top compines include Google,TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Capgemini, L&T, Nvidia,Samsung,BEL and public sector units(PSUs). The highest package goes upto 50 LPA in software roles, while the average package ranges from 8-12 LPA for core and tech roles. Around 80-85% students secure placements, with higher percentage in CSE,ECE and core branches. After completing my B.Tech in ECE, I plan to explore opportunities in core electronics, Embedded systems, or software development, leveraging my academic background annd internship experiences.

The B.tech fee structure varies depending upon category and annual family income.For general/obc students per semeter tution fee is 75000 rupees if family income is above 5 lakhs. if family income ranges between 1lac- 5lac then tution fee will get reduced to 41000-50000 range.But for the students having family income less than 1lac also sc/st/PwD students are exempted from tution fees, they will only pay for other fees,student activity fee,grade card fee,T & P fees, convocation fee.

My experience at NIT Agartala has been enriching, with great balance of academics, social life, and extraordinary activities. The campus hosts Moksha(in MARCH) as the cultural fest and Aayam(in FEBRUARY) as the technical fest, both featuring exciting competitions, and DJ Nights, making students life lively, The Golden Jubilee Library, spanning three floors, offers 3000+ books and journals, providing excellent academic support. Classrooms are well-equippend with modern infrastructure, ensuring a good learning environment. For sports and fitness, the campus provides a gym,three tennis courts, baskeball courts, and a cricket ground, along with Inter-NIT sports competitions to encourage athletic participation. Several student-run clubs enhance learning and engagement, including E-CELL(Entrepreneurship),ANARC(Coding & AI), DCC(Coding), Robotics club. These clubs play a key role in skill development and networking, making NIT Agartala a dynamic place for both academics and personal growth.

The hostel facility at NIT Agartala is quite comfortable, offering single rooms(for 3rd and 4th year students) and shared rooms(for 1st and 2nd year students) with basic amenities such as furniture (bed,desk,chair), wifi, and fans. Mess quality at the hostel mess is poor, with rotationg menu. There is only one mess for 1st year students but for 2nd,3rd and 4th year students there are 4 options of North mess, South mess, Eastern mess, Veg mess, so they can chooes what they like. However, there are multiple canteens around campus for snacks and additional food options. The hostel registration process is simple, typically done during admission, and rooms are assigned on a first-come-first-served basis for 1st and 2nd year students while for 3rd and 4th year students randomly room will get allocated. In 1st year Hostel initial fee is 7000 with one time 7000 deposite adnd mess fee is approx 18000 - 20000 per semester. After 1st year, mess fees remained same and hostel fees will 7000 for per semester.

First of all this government college which you get from JEE mains exam so there are some PSU's also various companies are attracted to such National Institutes and that the reason why I choose this college.After JEE main i applied in JOSAA for seat allocation to get admission in NIT and i put this college as my preference for electronics and communication engineering. Cutoff is appoximately for this branch is about 94 percentile for GEN/OBC and category wise above 88 percentile to secure admission here.

I belong to electronics and communication branch and there are 2 classrooms of 64 students in each. There is only one faculty for each subject and some are very good at teaching but some are poor at making students undertand the main subject. Some best faculties i would mention here are : Anirbhan Sir, Gautam Gupta Sir, Biban Sir, Apangshu Sir. They all are helping faculties.Exams in Electronics and Communication are moderately tough but can be done by using notes of seniors or notes provided by teachers. But VIva at practical exams are very very tricky.

Nightlife a NIT Agartala is relaxed, with students unwinding throught sports, club activities, and late-night study sessions. The library closes by 8 PM, while sport complex shut by 8 PM. Hostel in-time is 10:30 for boys and 7:30 for girls, ensuring safety on campus. Hangout places inside campus includ the canteens,hostel common rooms, shopping complex. Outside campus, students vist City Centre mall, Kaman Chowmuhani, Ujjayanta Palace. The locality is generally safe, but late-night travel is very limited due to fewer transport options
