Course Curriculum Overview

1

Very poor curriculum not practical to all just cram rhe books one night before and vomit it out on the answer sheet to get passing marks so I would advise that practical knowledge should be taken by the students themselves out of campus

Internships Opportunities

3

Internship are provided to a very limited students ina batch like around only to the top 10-12 top companjes like microsoft amazon approaches rhe students to hire for a intern which I a very good thing

Placement Experience

3

Good placements in comparison to other private college where there is almost zero placements but here still if student is doing good in his academics he can grab a handsome paying job and can brag about it in front of others

Fees and Financial Aid

The total fees for general category reaches around 9 lakh 60 thousand which includes 50 thousand as mess fees of the hostels per year and 30 thousand as hostel fees for a year and then rest 1 lakh 60 thousand as tution fees for a year. For people with income lower than tL per anum the tution fees is waivered by fifty percent so total fees reaches to around 6 lakhs For people of lower categories have almost around 50 percent waiver in the whole fees and their fees reaches to 4 lakhs for whole 8 semesters

Campus Life

3

Student Life is average as fests are held in every 2-3 months but still there is lack in organising some crazy fests and events but to fill this loophole one can attend the fests of other colleges like in Delhi and chandigarh

Hostel Facilities

4

Average hostels with average conditions of the rooms they are quite spacious and mess food varies from hostels to hostels our mess food is quite good like we can eat 18 meals per weak rest 2-3 are not eatable to be honest

Admission

I was very confused between Punjab engineering college and NIT jalandhar as they both are at a feasible distance from my home which I can do a up down after every 15 days but I chose nit jalandhar on base of infrastructure and facilities both the colleges provide to the students...as the placements are almost the same but better facilities are provided in NIT jalandhar

Faculty

4

We have mid semester exams,3 quizess in total out of which 2 best are selected, then we have a last end sem exams which comprises of our total cgpa of semester Some of the teachers are very supportive but most of them keep their interest to themselves just come speak and leave the class not doing much efforts to understand the students

Night Life

4

Night life is pretty good like vibrant tricolour lighting all over the campus with students and couples roaming in groups all here and there till 10 which gives a very cozy and aesthetic vibe to college

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for campus placement in their final year (7th semester). only a few companies made no offers. I can recall only 1 name Nation with NAMO. highest package in Civil branch was 14LPA. Average is 6LPA. for all branches highest was 42LPA with average 12 LPA. placement % is 60-80 among all branches which is improving every year. I am planning for higher education.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course as I was interested in Robotics and my parents wanted me to take a core branch. The curriculum is not very relevant but some topics are good and related like modern welding technologies and manufacturing techniques. I think our college curriculum needs to be updated where more new world technologies like AR and VRs should be taught with advance robotics. Teaching methods used are classical I think professors should try to use smart classrooms to visualise the concept to make it better understandable. Exams are moderate level but I think our college needs to reduce exam frequency although we have time but due to exams nearly every month it doesn't feel good.
