Likes

The campus is pretty, it's a green campus
It has a huge library probably largest in our Thrissur district
Class is a vibe and teachers are way too friendly

Dislikes

Hostel food is sometimes yuck u need to sacri
Computer science department has the highest student strength n they win all the contest
During summers it's pretty tough to sit inside due to heat n sometimes current goes off

Course Curriculum Overview

My course is biomedical engineering which plays a special role in medical field as it teaches us to test and caliberate medical equipment and ensure patients safety and smooth treatment. A leading course that has a great future

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 82000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

Caution fee is 1000 and rest all fee is said during admission hostel n message fee is different from transport fee. Merit students have fe consideration and their fee is less than management students and also there is nri quota

Campus Life

Campus Life is fun being a hostel student ubcan roam around college during evening and there are multiple club like media iedc IEEE etc which are well known across States and our college promotes project development and start up so multiple club based on such things also

Admission

I specifically wanted to pursue biomedical engineering course which is itself a rare course not many college have this one so I chose the college which offers the best biomedical engineering course and the students who graduated from this department are now placed in well known international companies so it also promises a good future

Faculty

Honestly faculty members teachers non teaching staff all are very humble and good people they get along too well and help u with each and every task and doesn't feel like a pressure or burden to us students

Night Life

Our college rule is basically hostel students have to get inside hostel at 6pm sharp and basically there is no such night life but u can still enjoy and go for a walk till 6pm or even play sports just dinner is at 7pm

Placement Experience:

Placements cells are supportive in terms of networking with different companies and are readily active for the students competing in getting internships and placements. The college has a tie up with different companies like Infosys , Wipro , Deloitte , IBM , NVIDIA , Deshaw Private Limited etc. Students become eligible from semester 5 onwards for on campus placements. The offers made by these companies are 8 LPA to 9 LPA by deloitte , innfosys , and IBM but the highest package is being offered by Deshaw and NVIDIA that is 60 LPA and 47 LPA. The average package is around 11 LPA and the percentage of students getting placed are above 80%. My plan after getting the degree is to work for an IT Company to get the hands on knowledge about what the current technologies demand and get experienced in that and work further upon it.

Placement Experience:

From the semester 7 onwards the placement interview will begin.The company's like Infosys,Sutherland etc.But if we are doing externally that is also good.I'm planning on improving my skills first and then going abroad. The average package available would be 4 lakh per annum.

Experience as a first year student at NIT calicut

Placement Experience:

Here we recieve a really high number of offers this year it was around 970, The highest package received this year was 44.42 lpa and average was around 12 lpa Accenture, Bharat electronics limited are few of the top hirers, intel and nvidia also hire from here they are more relevant for ece students The percentage of students getting placed is 81% I will most probably try for a direct placement, I'm not thinking about higher studies(MTECH)after UG but that might change in the future

College Feels Like Home

Placement Experience:

The placement department in our college is great and is always trying to bring good companies to the college. The placement training starts from semester 7. Our top recruiter include Infosys, TCS, Wipro, NocoBD, Delloite, etc. and our mechanical, civil, EEE,ECE all got placements with avg of 4lpa.The highest package where 12 Lpa for SAP. My plans is to get a good job and lead a stable life.
