Course Curriculum Overview

3

Actually we are the last batch of ktu 2019 scheme so the topics that are teaching is somewhat old and which is not used in now a days. Actually the syllabus needs to be updates. The new 2024 scheme students have updated subject which are more related to real world applications.

Fees and Financial Aid

When i joined sahrdaya , it was under KTU now the college became autonomous. At my time of admission, i entered through kerala entrence exam KEAM. My fees structure was 85000 annually. The bus fees for me is 25000 annually . For the three students who entered through keam with highest rank in the each department will be awarded with no tution fees.

Campus Life

4

The clubs in the college are IEEE, IEDC and NSS. There are several branch clubs in these main clubs. These main clubs funtions actively. Totally events are comparatively less in the college. But IEEE annually conductes three day tech/cultural event and IEDC mainly conducts workshops. NSS club conducts several helping and caring activities

Admission

I have applied for computer science as my first option and electronics and communication as my second. I have applied in Christ college, vidhya engineering college and jyoti engineering college. I got selected to sahrdaya for electronics and communication as sahrdaya was my first college option. The admission is by management quota as well as keam merit quota. The main reason for to choose sahrdaya as first is the beauty and cleanliness of the college

Faculty

4

Almost all faculties are friendly with the studens. Only lab faculties are little hard . The main exams in the college are assignment test and cat exams. In every month there will be slots for assignment exam and that mark is added to the internals. Assignments are written separately in assignment books Cat exams are the real internal exams. In a semester there will be cat 1 and cat 2. These exams are written exactly like university exams.

Night Life

5

Actually there is no night life in the college as a day schooler. And for the hostlers they are request to enter hostel by 6 pm. The night life that i enjoyed was when IEEE conducted three day tech/ cultural fest. As the college is full of greenery the are so may hang out places. There are small huts in the college for students and there are two snacks bars which has baji to shake and kuzhi mandi to shawarma

Placement Experience:

Placements cells are supportive in terms of networking with different companies and are readily active for the students competing in getting internships and placements. The college has a tie up with different companies like Infosys , Wipro , Deloitte , IBM , NVIDIA , Deshaw Private Limited etc. Students become eligible from semester 5 onwards for on campus placements. The offers made by these companies are 8 LPA to 9 LPA by deloitte , innfosys , and IBM but the highest package is being offered by Deshaw and NVIDIA that is 60 LPA and 47 LPA. The average package is around 11 LPA and the percentage of students getting placed are above 80%. My plan after getting the degree is to work for an IT Company to get the hands on knowledge about what the current technologies demand and get experienced in that and work further upon it.

Campus placements are highly volatile taking the stats from over the past three years there has been an up trend as well a down trend, I hope I will get placed through on campus interviews, the highest package of this year was for two graduates who got into IBM with 22 lakhs per aanum, there are few who didn't get into any of the companies while there were others who got int Amazon and other reputated companies, if I do not get into a reputed company through my college on campus placements the. I'll be aiming for higher educations most probably
