Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course curriculum is very much relevant. The subjects they teach are very much known to students and will help them in their future. Their are some subjects which seems unrealistic and doesn't seems that much usefull for the students. The curriculum actually prepare us for the real life application. The subjects taught in practical subjects are very much used in the daily life as compared to the theoretical subjects. Talking about the improvement, they can add some more practical and skill learning subjects in the curriculum to make learning more interesting for the students. And teaching methods for me is up to date. Little bit of practical classes and site visits and tourism learning should be inculcated in the studies will make it more interesting. The exams level are moderate to difficult ones and timing are welly managed.

Internships Opportunities

4

Their is a great internship opportunities which my college provides to the students here. The only thing students require is skills. Lots of companies like wipro, amazon, Deloitte provide internship opportunities to the students. They also offer both paid and unpaid internships.

Placement Experience

4

The placement cells of my college is very much up to date. Students get a lot if opportunities to sit in placement cells. The only thing you have to get in yourself is skills that the company requires. Lots of companies comes to hire students from my colleges based on their academic results and skills. From 5th semester students became eligible for the placements and they start applying for it in different companies. Companies like wipro, Deloitte, amazon, flipkart, publishing companies and many more comes to my college for recruiting students from different feilds The highest package offered is 41 lakhs and average package is around 6-7lakhs per annum. They provide profiles of HR, finance head and many more. Around 60-70% students get placement from the college. My plan after the degree is to indulge into preparation of government exams and I am not much into sitting in the placements.

Fees and Financial Aid

There are lots of scholarship and financial aid which my college provides for their children. All those students whose family income is below 2lakh per annum are provided releif. Their 50% of fees which is around 13000 is refunded back to them . Also talking about the scholarship, Delhi University provides a lot of opportunities for talented students to apply their skills in order to earn money for their educational purposes. Various scholarships related exams are conducted regularly by the college. All together Delhi University is very much into providing facilities to their students in several ways.

Campus Life

4

The campus life of my college is great. The campus is full of greenery energy and aesthetic vibes. The lawn of my college is well known and each year we win green cup of Delhi University. Their are several annual fests held each and every year . One among them the famous one is Tarang. It's our annual fest which take place for 3 days in which several artists come and students enjoy a lot . Their are several societies in my college like dancing, singing, drama , finance, art and many more. My college is also very much into sports and all stuffs. We have a huge basket ball court and football court too.. my college also provides a great opportunities to those students who are very much into shooting and all. Their are several student run social groups and clubs in my colleges which helps students to bring their talent on the stage.

Admission

I chose this college because it comes under one of the asias finest college list. It have really very good reputation and students from far away comes here for their higher studies. I did applied for other colleges like Banaras Hindu University and other private universities like Amity and sharda. But I prefer lady Shri Ram college over these colleges because it is very much pocket friendly and hard earned college. I didn't got rejection from other colleges. It was my first preference to get into this college and when I got this I opted for this at first place. I didn't went to other colleges because they were basically outh of my pockets and the faculty and opportunities for my course their is not that much prevelent To get into delhi university, we have to give CUET exams . The cut off for My college goes really very high . The most preferred courses among students are honours in english, history, political science, and economics. The cut off goes 750+ out of 800 in good colleges of Delhi University. The overall admission process was good but it was a bit prolonged one with a lot of hectic works regarding documentation and many more.

Faculty

4

The faculty of my colleges is very good in providing best knowledge as they can. They are well qualified and have ample of knowledge to provide their respective students. Also they focus on each and every students' by helping doubt classes which helps in making concepts clearer. Personally I liked the history department faculty very much . They take us on regular field works in order to get proper practical knowledge. Talking about the exams, per year two semesters are held . One in the month of December January and the other in the month of May June. The exam levels are moderate , some courses do have difficult exams like those of economics honours. Their are very few students who fail to pass the exam. The course curriculum is very much relevant they teach that lessons which are actually beneficial for the students.

Night Life

4

The nightlife of a girls college is bit strict. The hostel timings are around 8-9 pm . After that the gates get closed and no one can go out side. A proper descipline is maintained. But ya their are several hangout places near the college's. Like Sunderban nursery, humayun tomb and many more.

Course Curriculum Overview:

the curriculum is decided by delhi university, economics wing and is followed by all the colleges of du, although few topic are often irrevelent which teachers tend to skip. i do feel that curriculum is pretty old and they should introduce new topic which are more related to reak=l world and give us real life experience not just bookish knowledge which is irelevent. they should also ask for students input related to their curriculum, teachers sometimes tedn to just do book reading. internal exmas are taken frequently and difficulty is 3 out of 5

Course Curriculum Overview:

It is a good course. I went for it mainly because I am preparing for UPSC CSE (pretty common around here). In that context the course is helpful, and also for those aiming to enter research, academia, museology, archaeology etc. However there are not many placement opportunities and for most it would be better to pursue masters later on. Teaching methods are inclusive, both english and hindi medium students can comfortably study. However both students and faculties have some complaints regarding the curriculum changes under NEP such as the sequence of courses in each sem.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course is rightly designed. Plus the teachers often suggest books that can be read from library regarding course topics. The library is very nice here. I used to study in the library for long hours. The exam notes and everything is available at the photocopy shop that's inside the college. Writing this review really made me miss the college more

Placements definitely stands out as passive placement cell of the college is too good. They are quite aggressive and keep attacking us with getting ready for placements. As top corporate house like Big 4 and top Indian conglomerate also comes to our college for placements.

Initially i took this course beacuse i filled it as a backup for coming into delhi university but now i can say that the course is very interesting and it is practically applicable in daily life. Tho the theory exams are quite difficult and subjects like advance mme where max students fail exist but then also it is doable and has market value

Placement Experience:

The college has a placement cell which comes up with lots and lots of internship and job offers throughout the year, you get multiple new job opportunities every week but the campus placement is not all that great, B Com courses have somewhat decent placements. the college doesn't push very much or try much to get students placed, you're on your own.

Placement Experience:

Generally, after BA no one is placed and even if we apply for a job we don't get a good package. So, students generally go for masters or some other courses through which they can get placements. Talking of college placement and internship cell we don't have very good facilities as very limited companies are there for recruiting students. Many students don't even get the internship. This is a major negative point of college.
