Remarks

Well the placement of this college is really amazing. I think this the best part which students get attracted to. The management is very student friendly. Well negative is only i say they lack in infrastructure but they are trying hard to redevlop it.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

B.B.I is a bcom course which will have a few subjects relating to banking and insurance. The course is of three years with two semester in each year. In all six semesters. The papers are for 100 marks where in 25 marks are from internals and 75 marks from externals. Each semester is a board exam i.e the paper set my university.

Placement Experience

5

HR college has the best placements. All Big 4 come in for placements and various banks and other companies too. My classmates had good really good placements at the end of the sixth semester. They also have a lot of intership drives to build your cv and gain experience. The starting package was high as compared to other colleges

College Events

4

Name an event and its always there in our college. There are many clubs who organise different events such we are the world, self defence workshop, the bazaar, sports day, natural heritage, yoga day etc.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Its a bit mediocre like it ranges from 25000 - 30000 per year which is very high as compared to bcom students which is 7500 - 10000. Though there positive negative points in facilities. Like the classrooms lacks proper infrastructure on which they are working and developing it

Fees and Financial Aid

They have lot of sponsors which arrange for scholarships for students. You need to appear for those exams. The college fees are affordable you dont really need a scholarship. Last year EY had a scholarship program in which students participated and won scholarships.

Campus Life

3

There is sports council for sports, there is a gym for fitness, lot of events keeps taking place. Students need to take extra efforts to participate in them. They are is lot of opportunities for extra curricular activities.

Hostel Facilities

2.5

No they and dont have any hostel facility. I stay in town so did not require it. Mostly people prefers hostels nearby or stay as paying guest. Generally food is an issue for these people and they end up eating from outside. I am unaware of the rent paid by them. But mostly 25000 pm

Alumni/Alumna

HR college senior students are really helpful. And are always there when needed. Well there is no alumni meet for ex students. But where ever you find them they are always ready to help. But they are lot committes in college where you meet people they can guide you well.

Admission

I got my admission after my 12 exams. It was through an online easy process through mumbai university. And also through college online portal. I secured my admission in the third merit list. Filling the forms is an important process and in correct order preference is vital.

Faculty

4.5

This college is the best for all commerce courses. The faculty is very nice and co-ordinating. Try to help and guide the students in the best possible manner. Their teaching skills are amazing. There are visiting faculty also which helps students gain more knowledge

Course Curriculum Overview:

One of the key aspects of the curriculum that influenced my decision to choose the B.Com course at Sydenham College was its strong foundation in core commerce subjects such as Accounting, Economics, Business Law, and Finance. The structured progression from basic to advanced concepts, along with exposure to subjects like taxation and auditing, made the program particularly appealing for students aiming for careers in finance, CA, CS, or management.

De Shaw, and Bain Capital are among the biggest companies and lighter companies are also many. Visa and all are also there which are rare otherwise. For b.com though 30-40k is what is offered but I feel it's fair enough.

Placements society of college is just a decade old and still top companies like Zues Capital, Barclays, and Icici bank are among the top colleges that have become a part of ecosystem where 30-40 students is what each companies hires every year. Not many though as too many sections and 500+ students means getting placed even half the students can be a task where Mithibai placement percentage is 60 odd percentage.

Placement Experience:

Impeccable, amazing and unbelievable are the placements here. For B.Com which is as always a crowded college, making sure 60-70% students have placements through campus is a task not less than climbing everest. So definitely all I can say is our college has done so well that it is now the first choice college for commerce not just among Mumbaikars but overall as well.
