Remarks

Indeed positive! As they say, St. Xavier's isn't just a college but a way of life instead. It trues to mould every student into a better citizen and try to bring out the best from each one by exploring the multiple and hidden potentials of every single student.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

The Course Curriculum is wonderful as the college frames its own syllabus under its autonomy. The exam structure is as follows- 2 CIAs(Continuois Internal Assessments) which add up to 40 marks in each Semester and an end semester of 60 marks which makes it 100 marks for 1 semester.

Placement Experience

4.5

The college does provide very well job opportunities. Internship opportunities vary in every faculty and disciplines but almost each one provides great opportunities. As I'm just in FY I cannot share any experience as such

College Events

5

Malhar, the 2nd largest festival in Asia is the heart of St. Xavier's. Apart from it, various departmental fests, the Janfest, the IMG events like Aroha, the events of the Marathi Vangmay Mandal like Aamod and the multifaceted magazines of various departments is a great thing about this college.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Completely feasible. Personally my fees for FY were just 5500/- or something around that which is certainly feasible as compared to institutes with fees in lakhs and hundred lakhs. Also there are scholarships and concessions for the students who cannot afford the fees.

Fees and Financial Aid

I haven't availed any scholarship/loan facility offered by college but there are a number of scholarships provided through the central, state government and also individually through the college and the alumini to various students under various categories. Also, there are railway concessions provided to the students.

Campus Life

5

The Extracurricular activities are great. There are fests, there are competitions on various levels and also there are workshops conducted from time to time under honours or certificate programmes. The labs are also well equiped and properly managed.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

I haven't opted for the hostel facility. There's a boys hostel which has some really good fascilities according to what i've heard of. The infrastructure is also great and the hostel building is in the campus itself.

Alumni/Alumna

There are alumini meets taking place. Also, there are funds raised, scholarships given by the alumini. The senior students are very kind and helpful. They guide us and help us woth our queries. The Wellness Center is very well known for its generosity.

Admission

I'd applied online as per the admission procedure. I got my name in the merit list and then an interview was scheduled with the Vice-Principal. After the opted subject combination was granted and the interview was done, fees were to be paid and the admission procedure was finally completed.

Faculty

5

It's just amazing! All the professors are immensly talented and are one of the finest ones ever. It is taken into account that every student excells and that his/her expectations from the teachers are fulfilled.

Clara's College of Commerce, Bachelor of Management Studies [BMS]
Reviewed on Sep 10, 2026(Enrolled 2024)

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose the BMS (Bachelor of Management Studies) course primarily due to its highly comprehensive coverage of core business aspects specially human resources. The curriculum is well-structured to offer a deep understanding of corporate administration and strategic management, which strongly influenced my decision to enroll. Regarding the examination structure, semester exams are conducted systematically every six months, with internal assessments, assignments, and class presentations spread across the term. The timing is generally manageable, and the difficulty level ranges from moderate to high, effectively testing a student's analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities rather than just memory recall.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum specially the first two years focuses more on subjects like history, political science etc and prepares are foundation for law. The curriculum is well inclusive of the practical aspects of law as well as the theory which prepares you well for the real world applications. The course can be improved via adding the amended laws like add in GST to the taxation laws. The internal as well as semester exams are conducted once every semester. The difficulty level is easy to moderate for both. We get a study leave of around 20-25 days before every semester exam to prepares ourselves well.

Placement Experience:

Yes there is placement cell of STES which is no different than other tier 3 engineering colleges offering a tier 3 average package depending on who is the recruiter. Students become eligible for campus from 3rd year of their degree. Highest package is something around 55 lakhs offered to a computer engineering student, and average is just like I said for a tier 3 college 5-6 lakhs(above or below). Almost everyone gets placed in the company but some might not.

I have chooses this curriculum as I am intrested to do law. Many of students and other peoples praises the college as "Best College of Law" in Marathwada region. To be honest. Really it is best college. Which gives us best curriculum during our academic year. The curriculum of college teaches me how to become a good lawyer. The arguing skills etc. There should be no suggestions from my side just to imrove the course curriculum as it is overall good. The timings and scheduled are fixed by college and university. Generally the exam is in two shifts 10:00 to 1.00 and 2.00 to 5.00pm.

Reviewed on Oct 5, 2021(Enrolled 2017)

Remarks:

Laxminarayan Institute of Technology is a reputed institute, when it comes to the field of Chemical Engineering. The placement at LIT for M.Tech students is also decent. In my batch, 50% of the students were placed on Campus, which is better than many NITs for Chemical Engineers doing M.Tech. The admission fees of 27,000 per year is also less in comparison with other institutes. The Teachers at LIT are also vastly experienced. Also the Institute was in my hometown, which made my decision even more easier.
