Course Curriculum Overview

The course is absolutely good in term of relevance and comprehensive this is because of the subject taughts in the curriculum is quite amazing and little difficult at the same time for students but the package rate after graduation and life of our alumni are good than Enough.

Placement Experience

Campus placement in my college is quite good with lot of companies coming here each year and there is a thing that off campus in my college is quite good with an average 20 lpa , so in both cases after this college life is a little set

Fees and Financial Aid

My name is shreyash modi , I am a first year engineering student from metallurgical and material engineering department from Nit Durgapur . The college provide with many courses and a good academic curriculum for students .

Campus Life

There are many clubs in colleges in which if you want to be a part of you have to join it in 2nd semester (1st year ) then you will later join the legacy of the club , in clubs there are senior who guid e their junior in their respective club activities.

Hostel Facilities

Sometimes food is not good as expected but in a week you get special dinner in which mutton / sahi panner , cold drink , sweets , rice , puri and so many things you get and other than that another day is there in which we get chicken biryani/panner biryani that is also so good to eat

Hostel Fee: INR 43800 per year

Admission

This is because this college is near my hometown dhanbad and I cracked jee main after facing a lot difficulty, so therefore I thought that to study for my bachelor as near as I could . But I also wanted to go for advance but didn't made it there .

Faculty

The faculty members of our college is quite good in their respective fields, they taughts good in classes and well as giving assignment which is quite helpful for us students for understanding the core of their subjects

Interview Experience

Yes , I fell it and got admission , man I already fill it why is islt showing again and the money did I asked where it is please injust whatever I want to to get to 200nword ska jeje snejei9 eisbebsn j

Night Life

So much to do at night in this college , there is a mall ( junction mall) which is a top mall in west Bengal which is approx a km away from my college whenever I have to buy or eat something I just go to that mall and enjoy the nughtout with my boys .

The college average placement are 6 lakh per annum and in my branch out of 64 student only 30 God placement but the mistake is of the students because many companies are visiting our colleges but they couldn't find the talent required for the skilled person they required

From Third semester, the students become eligible for campus placements. The companies like P360, EY, Deloitte, Tech Mahindra, Neutanix, BinaryWorks and few more visited our college for placements and mostly 15 to 20 offers were made Highest package was around 5 to 6 lpa 50% students were placed I am now preparing for govt jobs and side by side also applying for offcampuses. I have also given CUET for pursuing M. Tech

Placement Experience:

Studentsbecome eligible for placements from 7th semester. Various companies such as TCS, Infosys, Accenture, Wipro, Tech Mahindra, Godrej, etc. come for placements. Earlier many offers used to come however in the recent years the number of offers made have reduced significantly. highest package comes around 10 to 11 lakhs per annum with average being 4-5 lakhs per annum. I have kept my options open after completion of degree in doing further studies that is Mtech or getting into a job whichever seems appropriate at the situation.

Placement Experience:

we are eligible for placement from 7 and 8 semester also their are many placement on thee intern companies. thier are total of 50 t0 60 companies that visits year which leads to very good placement percentage, in mining its above 90 percent. companies which come are infosys, microsoft, google , coal india, tcs, pwc etc. the higest pacage was 39 lacs by coal india. as mentioned above the placement is very good and almost everybranch placement is between 79 to 95 percentage of student which are placed, their are many mass recruiter if you didnt get the best pacakge you still have the chance to get a good package from the mass recruiter. my plan after degree is to advance in computer science even if i dont have the branch but i have the passion to do coding and become a web developer also i will try to get some more degree like mba and mtech and i will also try if i get selection to study abroad.

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for campus placements from 7th sem. The names of comanies visited are TCS, Infosys, Capegimini,Tech mahindra etc. Some students Got 2 offer laters . Highest packages last year was 47 LPA (off Campus) 27LPA ( on campus). Average pakage was 5-6Lpa. The job role is Software Development. Percentage of Students Got placement is 92-95% In my Deoartment. Other is Around 70_90%. My plans to take placement from product based company.

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.

I applied for multiple NITs During Josaa Counselling but my top 5 suitable choice according to my home location and considering other limiting factors was NIT Rourkela, NIT Silchar, NIT Durgapur, NIT Patna and IIEST Shibpur. Apart from these, I have also Applied for Calcutta University and Jadavpur University. I have got approval from NIT DGP,Calcutta University and Jadavpur University. But I have chosen NIT because of better Placement records and better campus Life. Moreover it's an Institution of of National Importance and Hold a good NIRF rank. So I preferred this choice above others. I wasn't rejected from the above colleges, but simply i didn't get the eligible rank for them. And the 3 which I got, i choosed the best among them. The Admission process of NIT DGP was through Josaa and CSAB counselling. The College and the Branch will be alloted to you according to your rank in the JEE MAINS Examination. The Closing rank of this exam in 2025 of General Category for the lowest Branch in BTech is 63387. The overall admission process for the college, apart from hostel allotment, was completely online. 14-15 documents were to be submitted in pdf format in the specific website provided. I was getting all nits of india and also some iits.The only reasons of not choosing them is branch ,i was getting lower branches in all other colleges so i choose this. I think this was the best college onmy rank. NIT Durgapur:-A wholesome Insight in the college life and it's different aspects

I applied to IIEST Shibpur and was getting ECE there but I chose this college because of its brand name, infrastructure and placement which are all way above shibpur. No I did not get any rejection form college I applied for.
