Remarks

This college is a good choice for anyone and everyone for any of courses it offers. It's one of the most famous colleges in Mumbai and it's worth it. Teachers working here are good and supportive enough too. Overall its all positive from my side till now

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The curriculum 7 subjects, I'd I'm not wrong, haven't started exploring the books yet, so no imaginary reviews on the same. Regarding the exam structure, I've heard about the same in college that it will be held in September last week, which according to me will be helpful for us

Placement Experience

3.5

Bring a first year student in the college and not spending a month till date, I don't think that I could review this topic. Actually I've just heard about this for few minutes or less. So without knowing anything about it I can't review this.

College Events

4

Not yet been part of any of the events celebrated(if any) this year. But the way seniors state and the environment around the college is, it seems that we can have a lot of events celebrated this year

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure as per me is feasible for students. The college has charged us nearly 6500 which seems to be feasible for a normal student. But the indirect costs such as accomodation and travel expenses add up to it.

Fees and Financial Aid

I've neither availed nor heard about any scholarship awarded to any of these students. May be college had done this in past, but I'm unaware about the same. I think there must be some beneficiaries of the same.

Campus Life

3.5

In the college I've heard about a lot of extracurricular activities held. There are different clubs in the college, each helping you and providing you opportunities in different areas. Regarding the labs, I have seen a large and spacious computer lab, if any other is there I have not seen it.

Alumni/Alumna

The senior students are very helpful. Actually it was only because of them I opted for HR. Senior students(others) being part of different clubs have helped us a lot. In fact it was STUDENTS COUNCIL only which helped us in our admissions

Admission

On the declaration of results the admission procedure started in the college. We had to complete some formalities regarding MU student registration online and apply in the college through same. Later we had to visit the college and submit the hard copy of the admission form. Again some online formalities regarding pre-admission form and finally I got admission in the first meri list. After that to confirm my admission I had to go to college with the required documents and then I got the seat in the college

Faculty

5

The faculty in the college is excellent. I've not seen all the teachers teaching in the class till now, but till date whoever I have met, have been excellent in teaching. They are supportive, help to be attentive and their own ways to teach

Course Curriculum Overview:

One of the key aspects of the curriculum that influenced my decision to choose the B.Com course at Sydenham College was its strong foundation in core commerce subjects such as Accounting, Economics, Business Law, and Finance. The structured progression from basic to advanced concepts, along with exposure to subjects like taxation and auditing, made the program particularly appealing for students aiming for careers in finance, CA, CS, or management.

De Shaw, and Bain Capital are among the biggest companies and lighter companies are also many. Visa and all are also there which are rare otherwise. For b.com though 30-40k is what is offered but I feel it's fair enough.

Placement Experience:

Placements society of college is just a decade old and still top companies like Zues Capital, Barclays, and Icici bank are among the top colleges that have become a part of ecosystem where 30-40 students is what each companies hires every year. Not many though as too many sections and 500+ students means getting placed even half the students can be a task where Mithibai placement percentage is 60 odd percentage.

Placement Experience:

Impeccable, amazing and unbelievable are the placements here. For B.Com which is as always a crowded college, making sure 60-70% students have placements through campus is a task not less than climbing everest. So definitely all I can say is our college has done so well that it is now the first choice college for commerce not just among Mumbaikars but overall as well.
