Course Curriculum Overview

2

Actually I love the subject that's why I had choosen this cause and this college for my study .The curriculum really prepares for to explore the future opportunities in the outer world because as a biotechnologist this course gives us more lab experience the syllabus also demands the lab experience that's really helpful for students . As a suggestion in the curriculum I suggest them to avoid some of the theories and add for lab work. The practical and theoretical classes should be perfectly balances. As we will not get any gap period in between examination because they would come in alternate days ,only have one day ,that's not enough

Fees and Financial Aid

Actually I'm upto bsc I really don't paid any fees , because I have qualified for merit . But in the pg level I'm paying 42000 rupees per semester. The tution fees and the lab fees also include these 42000 rupees. All of my classmates are also paying the 42000 per semester but their is some reservation for the backward castes for their upliftment. Several merti-cum means scholarship are available to support students who demonstrate both academic excellence and financial need. For eg. National means cum merit scholarship scheme (NMMSS): Award : 12000 rupees per annum Eligibility: Students must have secured atleast 55% marks in class 7 and have a parental income above 1.5 lakhs per annum. Application period Typically between August and October. Details: This centrally sponsored scheme aims to support meritorious students from economically weaker section to continue their education at secondary stages.

Campus Life

3

Actually I have great experience with my campus ,as I am involved the social, cultural and also sports events that took place in our college. Mainly cultural programs including Arts day ,kalolsavam ,and also some special days like onam , Christmas keral peravi etc..we also celebrate those days and also some cultural programs are also conducted. We have a huge library the students we're provided with an identity card for taking the books .Many of them are utilising oru college library perfectly for their needs. All of the classes have fans and floors have tiles and also smart classes are also provided. When we talk about the sports programs we give more value to girls in sports rather than that of boys . Many of the groups are their like nature's group, NSS ,that's would have huge members ,which would have a great impact in those students who have membership in it .

Admission

Actually I studied my UG in this college and I have so many friends here so that was the primary reason actually I choosen this college. I had applied for this college and got the admission in the second try itself . No I didn't get any rejection actually I rejected one college for studying in this college. All the admission process we're conducted on the base of goverment rules. It was online application process also spot admission were their. I got the admission because I have secured enough percentage of marks to qualify for getting admission in this college for my course during my UG examinations

Faculty

3

Actually the college faculties are good ,but not great.Sometimes they are good and other times they are bad .The faculties share some great relationship with the students. They are really helpful personally for me their are some personal favorites like our Reshan brother he works in the college office he really treats us like a brother. And also I don't like some of the facilities like Viswa he's so rude towards the students,at once he shouted at me for no reason,I also shouted back ,I swear I have no regret about it because he deserved that . I my class we conduct regular internal exams before the sem exams inorder to put the CE marks for the students. Most of the pass the exams. The course curriculum is really relevant to the students.

Night Life

2

Their is no night life activities in our college for normal students only the hostel girls in their hostel days are allowed to entry in the college campus after 7 pm , because they have many cultural programs which are conducted inthe college auditorium. Gyms are their most of them utilise it ( sports involved students),2 cafeterias are also in the campus. In women's hostel they need to get inside the hostel before 5 pm ,but in Wednesday and Saturday that's outing day for them. The main hangout region in our campus is the gallery of our ground and also the regions near the cafeteria

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choosed to study msc applied psychology in kerala university. Because it offers my interested specialization ( organizational behaviour) . The course provides three specializations - clinical , industrial and educational. As it is applied psychology it equipes us to become more practical.I wish the placement cell to be more efficient in our university. Because the placements they offers are limited

Remarks:

JEE Rank was the main factor. The facilities like hostel, labs, etc mentioned in the IIT Palakkad website. During the allotment process, one senior girl student of my branch contacted me and cleared all my doubts whether it was small or big, placement details, etc. After the rankings were released, based on the previous years cut-off ranks, I was able to get a fair idea about the colleges I would be able to join among all the IITs, NITs, IIITs. Based on JEE Mains rankings, NIT or IIITs can be chosen. Based on JEE Advance ranking, IIT can be chosen. Also, 2 mock allotment will take place which gives a fair idea of which allotment we will get. These mock allotment will be based on our preferences. We can change them after the mock. Then the actual allotment will start. Once we finalise our preferences and lock them, there will be 7 rounds of allocation. 3 options will be given in each round-Float, Freeze,Slide (details will be clearly mentioned in the website). Once you are allocated a seat in any round, document verification will take place (seat acceptance fee must be paid at this stage).
