Remarks

The positives are more compare to the negatives. All the positives I have told in the above section. To remember some negatives are the fee payment issues and some rogue fights from local people. Other than that not much to mention.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The course curriculum is the best compared to VTU and other Universities curriculum. We have PPS (Personal and Professional Training) from the 1st Semester itself. Other than that, the practical approach is good compared to other curriculums. We get to go for internship in the 4th Semester and 8th Semester which is the best part of this university.

Internships Opportunities

Yes, the University provides internships. One in 4th Semester and the other in 7th or the 8th Semester. In 4th Semester, the students are sent to various companies but not branch specific to learn about how the companies work, etc. In this internship there is no stipend given. In the 7th or the 8th Semester, the internship is given according to the branch the student is studying.

Placement Experience

4.5

The placements are good according to my knowledge. Even though the top product based companies don't come, companies like Infosys, Wipro, TCS, Lowe's etc come for campus placements. The highest salary package is around 20l.

College Events

4.5

Meraki! The inter-collegiate fest of Presidency University. The best fest in Bangalore I could say. Other than that, there are technical fest like Equip etc. There are international's and national conferences held too in which students are encouraged to present technical papers.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee when I joined the college was feasible. CET Management : College Fee 22500/- Tuition fee - 56000/- and BUS for total 100km up and down 32000/- coming to a total of 110500/- this year. But the bus fee keeps increasing by 15% every year. Other than that, the tuition fee and college fee is fixed. The freshers this year who joins the college are charges around 2-3.5 L. Hostel extra 1.25l.

Fees and Financial Aid

The scholarship is that CET management means we need not come through CET but we get the CET fees itself. That is one kind of scholarship for merit students applying fresh. Next years, students who get 9 GPA and above get upto 30000/- scholarship in their fees. Loan can be applied in various banks with the admission letter and the documents they give.

Campus Life

5

There are different clubs like science club, literary club etc. The labs as told before are the best. It's just like we are in the company and working feel. Coming to sports there are different play grounds for football, cricket, basketball, etc. Indoor games are there too like carom , chess, table tennis, etc

Hostel Facilities

5

The hostel infrastructure is also very good. There is triple sharing or twin sharing rooms. It is just like an apartment. There is a gymnasium etc. The food is also good. Students get to eat full meals and each day there is a variety of food and not repeated the whole week. The students are asked for their choices and then the meals are decided.

Alumni/Alumna

Currently, the 4th Year students passed out this year. So, there is no information on Alumni network and all. They may start it from next academic year or so. But still there are some groups with all the passed out students this year.

Exam Structure

The exam structure is again standard of IIT's. The evaluation is continuos. The continuous evaluation is about 60% weightage and the end term is 40% weightage. In the 60%, 20% is for Test1, 20% is for Test2 and other 20% is for components like assignments, quizzes, seminars, attendance etc. The end term is full of 1 final test.

Admission

I went directly to the campus and I showed them my CET and 12th Marks, from which they told me the fee structure and then the interview process. After the interview, they made us fill the application form, collected the documents, gave us the provisional admission letter etc.

Faculty

4.5

The faculties are top notch in our university. They are always either from IITs, NITs, BITSs, etc. All the faculties have either procured PhD or they are pursuing. The teaching methods are all standard of IITs. We get the course handout and course document before starting a course so that we get to know which class what will be taught.

Placement Experience:

Techno India University has a strong campus placement. Several students got jobs during the last semester, and I am one of them. Some others choose to wait for better opportunities. Some joined good startups. The package was nominal as we were all freshers. After getting my degree, I planned to pursue corporate experience and then join a lab for my PhD.
