Course Curriculum Overview

5

The reason why I chose this course was because I am a computer guy who loves and is curious about technology. Another reason is because there is a huge surge for AI in today's world. The curriculum has practical implementation which helps me to prepare for the real world applications. Each semester is 6 months long and we have 2 internal assessments each sem and a sen end exam. The difficulty of exams is moderate with both applications and theory based questions.

Internships Opportunities

4

While the list of companies may vary annually, some of the notable companies and organizations that have collaborated with PESITM or similar institutions for internships include: Infosys – Roles in software development, data analysis, and IT consulting. Wipro – Internships in software engineering, cloud computing, and cybersecurity. TCS (Tata Consultancy Services) – Roles in application development, testing, and AI/ML projects. Roles Offered Under Internships Software Development Intern – Working on coding, debugging, and developing applications. Data Analyst Intern – Analyzing datasets and creating visualizations. Research Intern – Conducting research in areas like AI, ML, and IoT. Civil Engineering Intern – Assisting in construction projects and site management. Mechanical Engineering Intern – Working on design, manufacturing.

Placement Experience

4

There is college placements in here. The students studying in 7th semester are eligible for campus placements. They should also not be having any backlogs. There are various companies that visit our college. Some of them are Infosys, Wipro, L and T, TCS, Anventure etc. On an average around 70% to 80% students get placed who are eligible for placements. I actually plan on joining a IT company for a reasonable salary just for experience purpose. And then pursue higher studies

Fees and Financial Aid

I have come to this college through management seat. My yearly fees is 300000 rupees. For 4 years it sums upto 12 lakhs. All the tution fee, bus fee, lab fees are included in this. We also have various scholarships based on our academic excellence. We also have scholarship for SC and ST. We also have scholarship for minority and defence. The fees varies for students joining through kcet and comedk. They have to pay a yearly fees of 1.5 lakhs rupees.

Campus Life

4

There is an annual cultural fest called as Prerana Fest which usually takes place during March. We also have tech fest known as Prerana tech fest. We have annual sports meet aswell which is helod in mid April. The library has a wide range of books for all the subjects and are easily accessible. We also got a lot of e-books which can be accessed using the library website or the systems in the library. The classes are well equipped with projectors. We also both indoor and outdoor games.

Admission

I had also chosen VVCE in mysore for the AIML branch and also CS branch in SJCE in mysore. I couldn't get both these colleges because I had not studied for kcet due to which my rank was very high. The cutoff for these course in these colleges is very low so I couldn't make it and also the fees in management quota was way more than I could afford. I chose this college over others was because of the fees being way less and also I had heard quite a lot about it. The admission process is quite simple. As soon as the results are announced just choose this college and after counseling you can just pay the fees and give required documents and join the college

Faculty

4

The faculty to student ratio is 1:30. There is also mentorship programs initiated. Most of the teachers are very much easily approachable and quite friendly. Personally I like the English and physics faculty as they very friendly and their teaching styles is also good. The exams are quite moderate in difficulty and most of the students can easily pass.

Night Life

4

The gym in the college closes at 6:00pm. The cafeteria closes at 5:30 pm. The library is open till 7:30 pm and cannbe extended with permission. The public area is closed off after 5:30pm for outsiders. The college has both boys and girls hostel which can accommodate around 1300 students with separate cafeteria for both. It got 24/7 electricity backup and hot water supply. The most best places to hangout are cricket stadium, football ground, library, classroom.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum has the necessary subjects of the branch...It is constantly updated every year to adhere to relevancy and comphrehensiveness of the course..My department of AIML teaches us the necessary computer subjects such as Nature Inspired computing, Deep learning etc and also the Maths and Stats whch is required for machine learning is though too ( Like Maths for machine learn and statistical modellign, inferential statistics, time series analysis etc)..These subjects also have lab components which help us prepare for real-world applications. But some of the older subjects on the other hand which might be core computer science or in first year..common subjects like CAED and others are not required and outdated. The frequency and timings of exams is moderate..neither good nor bad

Students become eligible for campus placements from the 7th sem. The highest on campus package this year was around 64 LPA, while as far as I know, the top 20% of the students usually get offers in the 16-24LPA range. The overall placement rate is good, but results depend a lot on your skills and practice

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose electronics and communications wholeheartedly. Since my childhood, I was very interested in electronics and very humble in learning new topics in digital electronics. I was never a coding guy, so I took electronics and communications as my course. It was an easy choice for me. So class's average strength is around 65 to 70. And the faculty: student ratio is quite good. The teachers are well qualified and most of them are doctorate holders. The timetable is arranged in a manner such that there is smooth conduction of classes for all-year students. The exams are semester wise and there will be internals every month. Questions are better, you have to know little bit contents taught in classes and also from textbooks. It is easy to pass.
