My college days

I was interested to become a software engineer and hence i joined to Information science and engineering branch. As i got this college in CET allotment through government seat i joined. The curriculum prepares you for real-world applications or further academic pursuits well. They also receive feedback after every internal assessment to improve the teaching methods students can give honest review to get output as they expected. The Internal assessment are done for every month to improve the progress and to prepare for the final semester exam. And this eill be very helpful for the students to improve and how they can ask questions and how students must answer

From the 6th and 7th semester students are eligible gor campus placements. Students are asked to apply for the campus placements from the career development department of the college according to the marks. Some companies visited are like jspider, qspider, Xworkz, kodnest, Infosys, 3 q sutantra, toyota, triveni,idea infinity,edgeverve, eton ,dfm technology, tata elaxi, enventure and many more. And highest package in 8 to 12 LPA. The students are placed according to the companies requiments min 20 students are placed outof 50 students My plan is to get a good, high paying job after completing my graduation.

The fees i paid is nearly 1lakh per annum it includes bus fees also. I admitted to college through CET i scored 41k rank in PUC hence i paid near 89k to clg including government fee and college fees. If admission through management it can cost upto 5 to 7 lakh per annum as package for whole academics( 4 year of engineering). My friend joined to college through management and she paid 5Lakh oer annum as she joined earlier through management seat. I received 18000 scholarship from government for engineering per year as i applied to vidyasiri scholarship (SSP) and it helped me more to buy laptop and phone. Coming to the PES institute of technology and management college, having a great awesome green campus. Including all engineering, PG like MCA , Mcom, MBA, degree courses like BCA, BBA etc inside the campus. The strength of engineering seats differes like example in CSE branch 120 seats and in ISE branch 60 seats. The branch I joined for is Information science and engineering (ISE) it is a great branch. The HOD of this branch is very disciplined and handles every situation properly and the faculties in this branch are very good and friendly. I suggest this branch to join in this college. The classrooms are very good and clean well-maintained. This branch is located in 4th floor and the lift facility are provided at 2 opposite sides of the degree building. The lab present in the same floor near to classroom. Free WiFi for the project purpose are provided with permission. The library is also verg vast and includes many different kinds of books and also can utilise the wifi facility and systems for work. The campus has many playground and can access to play and can ask ball bat to play also has basketball court cricket court. Many departmental activities are held and can participate in these. Other than department activities, ethnic day and many cultural day activities are held and our ISE dept secured 1 prize in ethnic day compitition last time in arranging.

Various kinda of activities are held like annual day function, ethnic dsy function, freshers day function, webinar from top companies from top intructors, many kinds of departmental activities weekly conducted. The library is very huge and can get many varieties of different kinds of books and journals are available also have wifi facility to access the information from the system browser. Many sports events and extracurricular activities are offered on campus like running race, cricket match, basketball match, vollyball match etc .and also offers medals and prizes for the winners. Many social groups are created to improve the interpersonal skills in students, clubs are made to discuss and take action by students and this can also build leadership skills in students. Students take initiative and comes up with new ideas to meet the requirements this is very useful for the students life.

I applied for JNNCE and PES institute of technology and management in Shimoga. And i got seat in electronics and communication branch for the first attempt in CET councelling in PES institute of technology and management but i thought this branch will be tough Hence i applied to 2nd round and got seat in Information science and engineering branch. I thought the JNNCE college is not as strict than PES institute of technology and management hence i opted PES institute of technology and management than JNNCE. I was not rejected by JNNCE but i got seat in PES for the very second round hence instead of thinking further i joined. The admission process of our college is to write CET or Comedk exam after PUC and to enquire the details from the college according to the ranking in CET or Comedk if we get government seat or to take management seat for our ranking. If we can get government seat we can join by paying the amount or else must pay the college fee to get addmission in management seat as soon as possible. No special exams are conducted go join PES institute of technology and management must check the cutoffs according to college. As i had eligibility to go through government seat for 41k ranking in this college i joined

Faculties are sufficient to teach students. And the faculties to students ratio os like 10 faculties to teach and 3 lab instructors in our department. And in any time students can contact to faculties at any time tehy are very friendly and they clarity the doubts. Our HOD prasanna sir is my favourite he is very passionate and disciplined faculty he is very responsible. Evaluation will be bit strict but the faculties help to clarify our doubts and support to get more score for the next time. The course is not very tough the only thing is to read with dedication to score good marks

The college campus also included gym facilities for hostel students and day scholars can take facilities by paying fee to gym. Has cafeteria where students can get variety of fastfoods and juices for refreshments. This will be open till evening 6pm to provide services. Campus in timings are upto evening hostel students are allowed to go outside with the permission of HOD of department and hostel warden for safety purposes. Our famous hangout places are corridors of department as it is very vast and we used to sit ond the window shelf, ths stadium ground are the best to hangout these are safe as they all are inside the campus and nobody is allowed in without the permission.
