Course Curriculum Overview

I choose this course because i have interest in them.The curriculum encourages core knowledge,hands on labs and projects,industry relevant software and tools.more real world equipments should be added.Overall the exams are some are easy and others are medium level.

Class Size: 76Course Fees: INR 12000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Yeah college provides internship or we can go for internship in the sem break. In ternship will last around 2 to 4months .Internship will be in KSEB or other industry .Gtron ,EyeROV,Networks system provides internship with stipends.

Placement Experience

There are placements in our college about 6LPA.Final students are eligible for placements . Students can go for higher studies if required.about 70% get placements .I plan to go for higher studies after completing degree.

Fees and Financial Aid

We have to pay our fees semester wise as it will be around 5000-7000 Rs between them.As there will be scholarship like egrantz provided by kerala government so it can be reduced to 3000 something.Sc and ST have their concession in the fee payment.

Campus Life

Dyuthi a tech fest will be conducted and club activities are regularly conducted ever year to improve every skills .There is a seperate department library and a college main library with wide variety of books.There is atheletic meet every year.

Hostel Facilities

A room for 2 people with 2 study table and all other basics needs like electricity and toilet facilities.Meal menu is quite good and good in quality. Admission is based on income,grades and distance from your hometown.And the hostel rent is affordable.

Admission

As we are alloted in accordance to our KEAM rank level.So I was alloted to my current college based on my rank.I chose this college because it has a good ranking in the KIRF and outstanding performance in academics. Eligibility are KEAM rank basically and other academic background in previous .The admission experience I will give a 4 star for it.

Faculty

All of them are better and they are active in their duties. Students can approach them easily for their problems .There will be internal and external exams conducted.For a semester may be total of 24 exams including lab exams.Exam difficulty will be approachable and there will be around few students will fail in the exam.

Night Life

Canteen is good and gym with quality equipments and a nice library .College is situated in good environments so that there are wide places for hang outs . And it is safe place for roam around nights.college working time is 9am to 5pm

Placement Experience:

we are eligible for placement from the 7th sem. Many famous and small compines vist our college. Infosys, WIPRO, TCS vist our college. But the big companies take only few student. Highest package was 1,00,000. And the average package is around 4,00,000. Almost all students gets placed from the campus .

My Experience at NIT Calicut

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the EEE course curriculum around 8-8.5 /10 in terms of relevance.The curriculum provides strong fundamentals in core electrical engineering subjects and prepares students well for core jobs and higher studies.The course curriculum was revised in 2023, and our batch is the 1st batch under the new curriculum. however, there are still limited coding ,AI and data science subjects in EEE ,which could be improved. Exams are conducted times per semester and are generally moderately difficult.

Main companies visiting the campus are IBM , TCS ,TATA ELXSI,L&T, Cognizant,Toshiba,Vanenburg,Kalkitech,Sobha,Mrf ,Juspay,Dynolt and many more. 70 % students get placement Highest package is 16 lpa and average is 5 lpa After degree higher studies can be considered.

CSE student at JEC

Placement Experience:

The placements here are quite good, but not great. Because only 50% of students in a class are getting placed. From S7 onwards the placements have been started for our department. But for other departments, from S8 only companies have arrived. For CSE department, many companies are coming which include Cognizant, SOTI, Mitsogo, EY, 6D Technologies, etc. Our senior batch students have placed at many companies in this. But comparing with other senior batches, the placements at our batch is really bad.

Course Curriculum Overview:

the course curriculum is lakhs relevance to modern industry demands. while it covers the basics there is minimum focus on practical skills emerging technologies and real world applications overall, the courses not comprehensive enough.

Is engineering here worth it?

Students are eligible from 7th semester to sit for interviews. The pod.ai app helps us in making the resume and calculating a cgpa to appear for the intwrviews. The pod.ai registration fees is 500?. Companies such as nissan,infosys,commandtech,bimlabs,gulfasia etc has visited . And the highest package was 11 LPA and lowest was 3 LPA
