HIT KOLKATA - explained briefly

Teaching method is good. But wrt the modern scenarios course curriculum is a bit outdated. yoo have to keep yourself updated with latest technology to be fit in the market and achieve good internship and placements. But if you want to continue with gate , just be serious and try to be one sem ahead of the college. GATE syllabus is completely in match with the college syllabus.

Internship from college side will be available in 3rd year. bit it depends on your talent if you are talented enough to grab offers in the 2nd yr college will not be a barrier. for electrical your internship will mostly be in WBSEDCL.

Placement scenario of the college is good. Many good companies like mindtree , IBM etc visit our college . it all depends on the student's talent and luck . Some brilliant minds are also doing internships from the second year of the college and other are being unplaced throughout the 4 yrs. The placement drive starts right from the 7th semester. CGPA sometimes plays an important role for good companies

The semester tuition fee is 69,500. At the time of admission, you have to spend approximately 97,000 if you are going by merit. Yeah, some scholarship opportunities are available for suitable candidates. You can contact the admin office regarding that. They are very polite in helping.

It depends on all your personal interest. NSS , HFC , GHUNGHROO and some drama and music clubs are available. literary clubs and baaki chote mote clubs bhi h which are not so active. The joining forms of these clubs start after the 1st sem

No boys hostel in the campus . Girls hostel are available with the capacity of 250 girls approx. rooms are given on first come first serve basis. you can live in flats in RR plot , kalikapur and hussainpur area

The simple answer to this question will be that I was not available with other options. In the first round I was allotted NSEC IT branch . But I wanted a better college name and environment so I opted for this college. Even if you are getting lower branches in this college kindly go for it. Study hard for 1 yr and change your dept rather than going to a poor college it is better to come here. good colleges lists include HIT haldia , IEM , NSEC , techno main

You can check the college website for faculty and their qualifications. If you're coming to electrical bran ch, then there is one faculty you will just admire, especially when you are from a Bengali background. Teachers deliver lectures in Hindi, English, and Bengali, but it will be better to understand and interact in the class if you know some Bengali beforehand. There will be four surprise tests and a few assignments. No worries, explore your college lif, but be serious in the last month, and you will be able to easily manage all of them. But try investing time in useful stuff

NIGHTLIFE SUCKS ! no night life is avilable in the campus. you can't even order something after 10 pm. college canteen is okayish . hostel timings is 8 pm in summer and 7.30 in winter. famous places to hangout is jheel side , acropolis , garia etc lib is literally most beautiful place of this college
