Course Curriculum Overview

5

I've chosen ba programme which includes the combination of historh and english. I wanted to learn more about the history that's why I chose that and the curriculum of this course includes research paper making, map making, presentation and so on. All these methods are really helpful and prepare is to face the real world challenges also.

Placement Experience

5

You can apply in your final year for placements, if you want to get placed easily then you should definitely join the placement cell of the college. The companies like flipkart and amazon comes to our college. Average package is 3-4 lpa.

Fees and Financial Aid

In satyawati college which belongs to Delhi University, we have to pay fees every year. For example- I'm pursuing a 3 year course, so I'll be paying 16000 per year but In the first year it includes your admission fees also which would be around 8000-9000, so the total amount would be around 24000. Also, as we all know there are 6 semesters, so we have to pay the fees of examination form which is around 1200-1300, depends on your course. If you're from a reservation catagory, you can definitely get relief of some amount. If we talk about scholarship, so yes you can apply for that but you've to score very well to get that scholarship. For example - if the exam's maximum marks is 100 then you'll have to score 95 above.

Campus Life

5

There are many programs held in your college like rangmanch, act, dance, singing and so on. These are held one in a month. The availability of books in our library is 100%, you can get every course's there. There are clubs like Valentino which is a fashion club in our college, run by students and women development cell which have impacted the society in a different way.

Admission

Yes , I did apply to another college of Delhi University that is kirorimal college but couldn't make there. The reason behind this is that college was too far from my location and was not convenient for me to travel there every day. So instead I chose satyawati college. The eligibility of this college is you should pass the 10+2, and appear for CUET exam , then you have to pass the cutoff and hence you can get admission in this college.

Faculty

5

Faculty members of my college are really very supportive, experienced and helpful. Their teaching methods includes different convenient and practical ideas which helps us to understand the topic in an easy and understanding way. Ratio of faculty and student is 25:1. There are exams each sem, as there are six sems in three year. If you study throughout the sem, it won't be difficult for you to pass the exams as they are not that much difficult, you just have to cover your whole syllabus of the sem and most of the students pass the exams.

Night Life

5

The night life around my college is really amazing as it comes near the noth campus, we often go there at night and roam around the campus. There are many cafes also which are affordable for students. You may visit pandit ke parathe or labibs, if you want to have a delicious meal after your college.

Other Applied Colleges

Kirori Mal College - [KMC] | Bachelor of Commerce [B.Com]

Because the location of this college was not convenient for me, so instead I chose another college

Course Curriculum Overview:

British classics, Indian writing, postcolonial literature builds a strong foundation in literary analysis, critical thinking, and interpretation, which are useful skills. As for comprehensiveness, the curriculum is quite broad. It covers multiple literary periods, genres, and critical theories over the three years, so you’re not really missing out on the essentials. In that sense, it feels academically complete. But sometimes, it leans more towards breadth over depth you move quickly from one topic to another.

There's a placement cell and placement drives do happen in college but genuinely the package offered is not really considerable. After the 4th semester students are considered to sit in the placement drives though I would say it is not very efficient and fruitful.

Placement Experience:

Placements are available in college, the drive is quite extensive, everyone is made aware of the choices and options and counselling is present too. It is from the third year, students are eligible to apply for placements. Companies and organisations take part such as Niti ayog, Times, Geostrata, Prajatantra foundation, etc. Those who desire usually work on their CVs, keep on doi internships and then get a placement. The packages are not that impressive to be honest.
