Course Curriculum Overview
The frequency of exams is pretty good here that is you only have to give two exams that is midsems and endsems.there is gap of two months between these exams. You will not feel pressure of exams here. The curriculum of course needs some improvements. I choose this course because I only had this option. There was no any option available for me.
Internships Opportunities
Internship opportunities are available for the students but only for those students who are skilled. You will to do hard work and improve your skills so that you get an internship opportunities. Our new director is working on this area so that internship is available for everyone.
Placement Experience
From fourth semester students are eligible for campus placements. A large no. Of companies visit our college for placements. They make offers on the basis of skills of students. The highest package was about 24 lakhs. About 70% of the students were placed in the year 2023. I also aim to get a good placement.
Fees and Financial Aid
Tution fee waiver is provided to those students who fall under the category whose family income is less than 1lakh And 2/3rd fee waiver is provided to those whose family income is between 1-5lakh per annum. For sc st ph students 100% tution fee waiver is provided.
Campus Life
Almost all the festivals are celebrated here. The name of annual techfest is Instruo which is Kolkata's largest Techno-Management fest. The annual cultural fest is Rebeca which is held in april. Almost all the fests are held in between January to april. Sports should be improved. Some grounds should be constructed so that more and more students can play. Library is newly made and books are available in the library but the space is little bit less.
Hostel Facilities
Water, Electricity and four sharing room is provided in the first year. There is a very bad wifi provided by the hostel. You will have to rely on your mobile network. Food is good but can be improved. Water needs very much improvement. You will have to apply for hostels. Hostels are affordable here. If you don't allot a hostel. You can rent a room or PG near the college. There are so many PGs available near the college which are little bit expensive.
Admission
I choose this college because I had only one option which was this college. But i got wrong branch due to my mistake in choice filling. I was not alloted any seat in other institutions. My rank was not good to make it to other colleges. Admission is provided on the basis of jee mains rank and seat is alloted on the basis of josaa counselling. The most preffered exam by students is JEE Mains
Faculty
Faculty to student ratio is pretty good here. Faculty is supportive. There are two exams conducted that is midsems and endsems. There is no relative marking in this college. In between professors keep taking tests.
Night Life
There is a gymkhana in our college. There are three canteens in the college, one library and there is a shortage of public areas in the college. The hostel timings are decided by the warden. It is flexible and depends on the warden. The famous hangout places near the college is botanic garden.
