Dislikes

Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is pretty average, similar to all the other colleges. They will teach you the basics of every field in Computer Science, and if you want to pursue any particular field, you have to study on your own regarding that field. The college will teach you basic programming, one procedural programming language (C in our case), one Object Oriented Programing Language (C++ in our case), and Python. Then, different things about Computer Science like Data Science, AI ML, etc.
Placement Experience
The college provides lots of opportunities, but maximum of them are low package jobs like 3LPA, 3.5LPA, 2.5LPA. Although a few companies do come with high packages, cracking them are pretty hard. But, if you work hard, you will definitely leave the college with a placement. We currently have around 30 to 40% students placed, considering lots of students are actually unemployable.
Fees and Financial Aid
During my admission, the total course fee was Rs. 5,70,000. The Semester Fee was Rs. 66,750 per semester. And, the Admission Fee was 36,000. Therefore, I paid the Admission Fee and the First Semester Fee during my Admission, i.e. Rs. 1,02,750. And, continued to pay the Semester Fee of Rs. 66,750 from the next semesters. The Semester Fee per semester is taken as Tuition Fee only. And, all the other fee was included in the Rs. 36,000 during Admission. This is my story from when I took admission during 2021. However, I think the whole Course Fee has increased to Rs. 8,00,000 as of now.
Campus Life
The social culture of the college is pretty bad. We don't have any active clubs, a few do exist but they are pretty much inactive. If you only want to focus on academics, this college is good, but if you want some life in college, forget SNU. There is non-existent social life in SNU.
Admission
I actually picked this college, because it was the only college at that time with the CSBS specialization. And the course fee was low at that time due to covid. CSBS focuses on Computer Science aspects along with some Business aspects. Admission to this college is pretty easy, you may have to attend the SNUET (which I attended during my Admission), or you can directly take admission using your WBJEE Admit Card.
Faculty
The faculty to student ratio is ever-changing as teachers keep joining and leaving in between semesters. But there are a few fixed teachers, who will teach all the core subjects. The optional subject teachers take some time to be appointed. The exams are rather easy I will say. The teachers are not strict during grading. And, they are quite helpful regarding exams, providing suggestions and all. The faculty members I liked the most are Mousumi Ma'am (our ex HOD) and Debabrata Sir (he left the college to pursue PhD). The haven't hated any teacher tbh.
Night Life
We do have canteens and a cafe inside our campus. Also, we have several food stalls inside our campus too. After a hectic day, if you wanna relax, you can just relax there. But, our campus closes around 6.30 or 7pm, so you have to clear out before that. I didn't opt for hostel, but I know that the hostel is 3km away from the campus. They let you stay out of the hostel till 9pm. I don't know anything else.
