Likes

Huge and quite library with a lot of books
Second and third year hostel rooms are large and good
Many departments to explore and the professors are very chill

Dislikes

First year and final year hostels are not that good
The university buildings are not cleaned often
The hostel mess food is the worst to eat

Course Curriculum Overview

My university's curriculum offers students to choose their courses other than the core subjects. There are two exams for each course and two quizzes for a total of 100 marks. Mid semester values 32 marks and end semester values 48 marks the rest are quizzes.

Internships Opportunities

Different companies like Amazon, Google , axxela, uber are the major companies which offer higher stipend upto one lakh per month. I haven't completed any internship yet as i am in second year. The internship season begins in the start of third year.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure in my university depends on the annual income of the family. My family income falls below five lakh rupees so i get a fee waiver of 66.7% on my tution fees . Which makes my fees fall from one lakh twenty thousand to 60,000. My university offers a scholarship for students having CGPA above 6 in which the tution fees is refunded back due to which my fees becomes 26400 rupees which is the hostel fees.

Campus Life

A lot of clubs are present to participate here. But the competition for the recruitment is quite big. A lot of students won't even participate in the recruitment process. Coming to sports grounds are always crowded but well maintained.

Hostel Facilities

The hostel room facility is good. The rooms are large and well painted and the bathrooms are well cleaned but regarding the mess facility it ours the worst part of the college. The food is bad to eat and Sometimes it comes uncooked

Hostel Fee: INR 18000 per year

Admission

The college admission process is quite simple and it was completed in an hour. For the advanced rank i scored this college is good considering branch and the college ranking in the country. My college stands at eleven position in the IITs

Faculty

My university is very much better than other universities regarding exams schedule. Students having backlogs can clear them in a seperate semester called summer semester. The classes contain nearly 108 students and it is easy to communicate with the faculty

Night Life

We do have a college entry restriction after 10 pm. The hostel's entry is restricted after 12pm which makes it quite difficult for those who stay up late. As all the students of the college stay up late it is uncomfortable for everyone

BIT : A Freshman's Perspective

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible to sit for placements from the 7th semester.A variety of companies including TATA Steel, JSL, JPL, Samsung, TCS and ABG visit the campus.The highest package offered is to Mining branch by vedanta which is 16.5 lpa.In core branches like mechanical and electrical the placement percentage reaches to almost 80%.

Placement Experience:

The placement cell of our college is quite active and provides internship opportunities and pre-placement offers for students in their third and fourth years. It invites reputed companies like Microsoft, Google, Amazon, Accenture, IBM, Intel, Infosys, Cognizant, Deloitte, and many more. The average package is about 12LPA and highest package is about 52 LPA. Branches like CSE offer even higher, lucrative packges.

A Genuine Review

Placement Experience:

From 5th Semester onwards student are eligible for internship but from 7th semester they are allowed to sit in campus. Various companies like PayPal, Wipro , cognizant ,TCS ,Genpact ,Amdocs etc. Highest Package this year is 35 lpa and Average Package is around 7.5 lpa. Around 90% of students from circuital branch and around 80% students from non-circuital branch has been placed so far this year. My plan is prepare very smartly for campus placements and bag a very good PPO from are tech based company.

Students become eligible for internship after 4th semester , after 6th semester the companies start coming for regular placement For cse the average was around 20 lpa with median being 16-17 lpa Companies that generally visit are - atlassian, Amazon, flipkart , BNY Mellon, cisco, Texas Instruments etc Around 140 offers were made and in a batch of 120, 100 have secured placement Placement percentage is around 92% Highest package - 65 lpa atlassian (on campus) 1.23 cr rubrik (off campus) Lowest package - 7 lpa Average - 18 - 20 lpa

The Underrated NIAMT

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible after 6th semester for placement drive. Companies visited are Vedanta, JSW, Mahinda, L&T, Ashok Leyland etc and 95% of students are placed till and still few companies are yet to come. Heighest package offered was by Vedanta of 13.95LPA while lowest was from an ADC Company of 3LPA which makes the median package around 8LPA for metallurgy branch and 7LPA for Mechanical. Every year around 98% of students get placed ( Rest 2% either opt out or any seruius indisciplinary issue ) Planning to get a job first then along with preparation of GATE for PSU.

Placement Experience:

on every occasion they will charge the students, there is no good placement, every year they increase the exam fee, students are not regular its poor then government colleges just pay penalty and your attention will be full, its like correspondence course they are running huge but and regular power cuts unhealthy canteens, political motivated administration and management. There expenditure in infrastructure is huge which is best for love birds its like park or garden. Overall all not dedicated to education.

A two years review of Central University of Jharkhand

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculise fully designed on national education policy 2020. Focuses more on extracurricular activities than core subjects. Because reply is designed on the basis of UGC guidelines which is a good thing for different competitive exams that are design by UGC. I will say semesters are to short that all till now my all four semesters has been glitter in about 4 months each that should be of duration of 6 months.

Must Read before coming to IIT ISM Dhanbad

I had secured AIR 5860 in JEE Advanced, so i had applied for all CSE, ECE, ELECTRICAL, MNC and related branches in Top IITs. For my rank, I got IIT ISM Dhanbad in the last round. I had also got IIT Kharagpur Manufacturing Science, but I choosed to go for furture rounds as i thought doing a circuit branch in IITs is better. I could not make it to colleges that i wanted to as my rank was 5860 and belonging to the GENERAL category, the rank is too high to get into top branches of the top 7 IITS. The admission process is JEE Advanced, Elgibility is that u need to have good rank in JEE Advanced, the rank required varies from branch to branch but i can give you and idea, for our IIT ISM, CSE -> 2000 to 3500, MNC -> 3500 to 4500 , ECE -> 4500 to 6000 and so on....Read More
