Course Curriculum Overview

3

I would eventually rate it 3/5 I mean there are points to be noted Why would someone study evs bio and other things being someone from cse?? The curriculum do helps for real world applications The frequency of the exams should be reduced

Internships Opportunities

4

There are a lot of companies for placement and internships and they are easily available You would love them Some companies here are htc vipro microsoft and all You would get lot of oppertunity for internship and the coordinators are friendly and would guide you throughout But you would have to make a great social life

Placement Experience

4

It was somewhat good last time averaging upto 6lpa But this year due to recession it went to 5lpa this year Students from 3rd year are eligible for taking part in placement and internships in the campus We too had a lot of product and service based company for employment The highest package was 80lpa/year from cse And around 94% students get placed I would go fot placement after my degree

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees sums up to 3 lakhs per semester , the hostel fees is 120k per year and the mess fees was 22,500 last sem but ut increased to 25k this sem Overall its quite good for this price Food is great The hostel rate was for 2 bedded ac The placement wasn't upto the mark this year and one of the cons is there are too many students here

Campus Life

5

The campus life is 5/5 We guys have the biggest campus arround here summing upto 400 acres Lush green campus with mba garen campus 12. Campus 13 We have a lot to explore! We have a central library Broo its so big We have hell lot of books and they are easily available You would get each and every books From novels to test books and all everything is available We have whole technological classroom and extracurricular activities are often offered in the campus You would get lot of clubs and societies to take part in and they are too student friendly

Hostel Facilities

5

We have great hostels The food quality is great We have both veg and non veg section and the tastes great The affordiblity could be questioned as we are paying 120k per year for 2 bedeed ac hostels and 25k for mess per sem

Admission

I did applied for central universities and cleared mhtcet and other exams I was awarded a govt university but the branch wasn't what i wanted so i opt for this university I did chose it because i had my childhood friends coming here (Soi won't be alone) For getting admission in kiit you would have to give kiiteee and its quite easy to take admission here!

Faculty

3

We have a class of 50 students and the faculty are great with it Superb interactions.between faculty and students They do care about your studies (except for few) And the faculty are quite approachable at any point of time Personally i like a few of my past faculties Won't be naming them But yeahhh they are quite superb and cool Yeah I didn't liked my plt, ed , sph, bee,.and betc's faculty They are somewhat not friendly I mean they are some times rude and would want the whole of the world to revolve around them Exams here are easy to.passs Ummm this sem out of class of 50 , 3 student's got their backs in some subjects You could eventually easily write improvement and back papers But i think the curriculum needs to be upgraded I mean why would someone from.cse study evs bio and civil??

Night Life

5

You won't be having nightlife in 1st year as the in time would be 6.30 for freshers But it would be 7 for 2nd year and so on The night life is crazy tho You would be getting gyms for 500 per month in the campus Public area is way too beautiful and there are lot of locality to hangout around with your girlfriend and homies Its safe to roam in the campus as we have guards all around

Siksha 'O' Anusandhan University - [SOA], Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Computer Science and Engineering)
Reviewed on Jan 9, 2026(Enrolled 2023)

Course Curriculum Overview:

1. Relevance & Comprehensiveness (Rating: 7/10) The course curriculum at SOA is updated frequently compared to state government colleges. Why I chose this: I was attracted to the fact that the syllabus includes modern electives like Artificial Intelligence, Cloud Computing, and Data Analytics starting from the 3rd year itself, rather than waiting for the final semester. Real-world Prep: The curriculum is designed largely to crack placement interviews. There is a heavy focus on Aptitude and Core Coding subjects (DS/Algo) which helps in getting a job. However, for deep research or R&D roles, the theoretical depth is sometimes lacking. 2. Areas for Improvement Teaching Methods: A major issue is the reliance on PowerPoint Presentations (PPTs). Many faculty members just read off the slides. I would prefer more "Whiteboard Teaching" for mathematical and logic-based subjects. Lab Records: We spend hours handwriting practical records/files which are just copied from the manual. This is a waste of time. This time should be used for live coding projects or hackathons. Outdated Subjects: First-year students (even in CS/IT) are forced to learn heavy mechanical/civil concepts. While basics are good, the depth of these non-core subjects should be reduced. 3. Exam System & Difficulty Frequency: It is quite hectic. We have 2 semesters a year. Each semester has 2 Internal Assessments (Quizzes/Mid-sems) and 1 End-Semester Exam. Basically, you have an exam every 1.5 to 2 months. Difficulty: The exams are Easy to Moderate. It is not very difficult to pass. If you study the "Class Notes" and "Previous Year Questions" for 3-4 days before the exam, you can easily score an 8.0 SGPA. The checking is lenient for passing, but strict if you are aiming for a 9.5+ SGPA.

I actually have a very little idea about placements of our uni few seniors says there is not a single company visiting, while few were discussing the highest placement which was something like 20lpa or something,i think companies do visit our campus it may not be much but i have definetly seen one or two companies visiting. I plan to do MBA after my Btech so i am not that serious about whether i am getting placed or not.

Gandhi Engineering College (GEC Autonomous), Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Computer Science and Engineering)
Reviewed on Dec 22, 2025(Enrolled 2023)

Course Curriculum Overview:

I mainly chose this course because the college is Autonomous, which allows them to update the syllabus faster than standard university colleges; seeing subjects like Python and Data Science in the early semesters really influenced my decision. The curriculum is decent for getting placed in service-based companies like TCS or Wipro since they focus heavily on the basics and aptitude, though for high-end product roles or research, you have to put in extra effort yourself. I definitely think they need to reduce the theory load and focus more on practical coding because sometimes it feels like we are just writing assignments instead of building things. Also, the junior faculty rely too much on reading from slides, which really needs to change to make classes more engaging. As for exams, it feels like we are always writing them since we have two internals and one end-semester exam per term. They are moderately difficult and the checking is strict, so you can't slack off, but the tight schedule can get quite exhausting.
