Course Curriculum Overview

4

I always wanted to do btech and some my relatives did btech from cv raman only so it was easy decision for me to choose it . I chhose computer science as the placement of cs is good and also I like coding that's why. The curriculum is now updated with training from 5th and 6th sem are provided to students in new technology like data science, python, ai ml, java Full stack. They provide aptitude and soft skills training to prepare us for placement test and interviews which is very helpful . The exams are at end of semester which can cracked with one week of preparation.

Internships Opportunities

3

The companies that provided internship are pwc and jp Morgan providing 6 months internship with stipend being 35000 . Test is held for internship in 6 sem only and intership starts from 7 th sem . Apart from that students also do online internship by their own

Placement Experience

4

The placement is good with highest package being 19 lpa from JP Morgan to lowest is 3 lpa the average package is around 5 lpa . Students are eligible for placement tests from 6 sem as pwc comes for their launchpad program in 6th sem only. Companies like accenture, tcs, Infosys, cognizant, PWC, JP Morgan visit our college. Majority students around 82 percent gets placed in these companies. My plan after college is to work for any of these companies.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees that I am paying is 175000 but now the tution fees has increased and now it is 295000 per year. During the admission they charge a fees of 20000 as admission fees and fees for blazers and other things. During our sem exam I have given registration fees per sem of 3000. There is no category benefit as such in fees but students can apply for scholarship and loans. There are different scholarship like odisha student scheme and college provide loan with propell in which monthly 18000 is submitted instead of entire college fees that to after 1 year.Other than mine my juniors are paying tuition fees of 295000 and hostel fees of 100000 per year

Campus Life

4

There is one cultural fest held annually that is called celegance you can enjoy in this fest its held for 2 days and then a tech fest is held with alot of tech competitions held in February or March. There is wide variety of books present in Library from encyclopedia, course books , to books for gate entrance exam all are present. The classroom are fully equipped with digital boards all classrooms do not have access they are installing in every class now. There are alot of sports event like inter college and intra college with all sports included. Grounds for sports like football, cricket, basketball, volleyball, badminton is there. There are clubs for dance , drama, chess , kabaddi, literary clubs every thing is their which help student participate according to their interest .

Hostel Facilities

3

Different rooms are there like single bed , double bed, three bed . Beds, wifi , lights are provided provided along with 2-4 fans depending on size of room. The wifi is not good it keeps getting off. The mess food quality is poor somedays we have to buy food from hotels but the menu has alot of items which doesn't taste good. To register simply we have to fill a form and payment hostel fees and the rooms are provided.

Admission

I gave her and applied for colleges like bit sindri, lpu, chandigarh university but was not able to get bit and lpu was to costly which was out of budget for me . It was easy decision to choose cv raman as my relatives also studied from here and also fees was comparitively less. The admission is done on basis of marks of either of 3 exams ojee , jee and college own entrance exam cget which is very easy to crack. Most the students are from ojee or jee with cut off being 80 percentile .

Faculty

5

In the college faculty ratio is good like for every 10 student in one batch there is 1 teacher. I think there are more than 80 faculties. The faculties are very helpful they always help us whether it is publishing research paper or normal help in studies. I liked kanungo sir as he was very disciplined he was best . Some of the best faculties are Prasanth sir , subham sir. I didn't liked dilip sir he used to give alot of work and used to cut marks in viva. The exam are bit challenging. There are sem exams held after every 4 months of semester which anyone can crack it they study for 1 week before exams date. In our batch here are alot of students get back paper as they don't even attend internals. The curriculum of the college is updated as they provide training in ai ml java full stack from 6 th sem also they provide aptitude training from 6 sem

Night Life

3

You can avail gym facilities till 7-8 pm. For boys the timing to get in hostel is 10 pm and for girls it is 6:30 pm . The main differences is because boys mees are outside the hostel and girls are inside their hostel. There is outlet of wow momo in college and places where you can sit with friends . The locality is also good but at night it is safer to be in hostel .

The highest package was 32 LPA and the average goes to 5-6LPA. The percentage goes to 90 % for placements. After getting degree you can go for higher studies.

Placement Experience:

Placements at KIIT University for B.Tech CSE are decent and well structured, especially for students who prepare consistently. Students become eligible for campus placements from the 7th semester, although pre placement talks training sessions and internships start from the 5th or 6th semester. The university has a centralized placement cell that coordinates training aptitude tests mock interviews and company drives. Many reputed companies visit the campus every year including TCS Infosys Wipro Accenture Cognizant Capgemini Deloitte EY Mindtree LTI Bosch HP Amazon and a few product based startups. Mass recruiters make a large number of offers while product and service based companies offer selective roles. The average package for CSE students usually ranges between 4 to 5 LPA, while the highest package can go above 20 to 25 LPA in exceptional cases depending on the company and role such as software developer or data engineer. Around 75 to 85 percent of CSE students get placed through campus placements. Students who remain unplaced usually pursue higher studies startups off campus jobs or competitive exam preparation. Placement success largely depends on individual effort coding skills internships and communication ability. After completing my degree I plan to work in the software industry to gain practical experience and improve my technical skills. Alongside my job I also plan to upskill in advanced technologies and later consider higher studies or specialized roles depending on career growth.

Placement Experience:

I would rate the placements at my college as 3 out of 5. Students usually become eligible for campus placements from the sixth or seventh semester, and a few well-known companies do visit the campus every year. The placement cell helps with basic training like resume building and interviews, and many students, especially from IT branches, manage to secure jobs. At the same time, the average salary packages are not very high and top roles are limited, so a lot of students also focus on skill development, off-campus opportunities or higher studies after completing their degree

Placement Experience:

Placements at IIIT Bhubaneswar are generally good and improving, especially for students who stay consistent with coding, projects, and internships. In my college, students usually become eligible for campus placements from around the 7th semester (4th year), while many students start getting internship opportunities and pre-placement offers from the 5th–6th semester itself depending on skills. Every year, companies from the software and IT domain visit the campus for roles like Software Developer / SDE, QA, Analyst, Web Developer, and sometimes Data-related roles, and students also get offers through off-campus applications. Some of the common recruiters include companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Cognizant, Accenture, along with product/startup opportunities depending on the year, and multiple students receive more than one offer as well. The highest package and average package vary every year and depend a lot on branch, performance, and market conditions, but overall the college provides decent placement support and training sessions like aptitude, DSA guidance, and interview preparation. The placement percentage is also fairly good for students who actively participate in the placement process, while the rest generally go for higher studies or off-campus roles. After completing my degree, my plan is to either secure a good software developer role through campus/off-campus and build experience, or if I feel more interested academically, I may prepare for higher studies or competitive exams along with improving my skills.

Campus placement i thik it's in your 4 year of engineering only i.e in your 6 semester. There is a lot of companies visited like jsw ,hindulgo and a lot to go . Jsw provides avg package of INR 12 LPA And it selected only 2 students only. I think girls get placement easily as compared to boys ... companies usually select more female candidates....I think I will go for job rather than doing masters degree.
