Course Curriculum Overview

5

The curriculum is in accordance with the new education policy rules . There are a lot of core important subjects like cn , os , dbms , oopj which are really important for placements and real world engineering.

Placement Experience

4

Placements are quite good. Thats precisely why i chose this college . The highest offer last year was 52 lpa . Other than that average package is 6 to 8 lpa for cse students . Mostly all students get placed . A few companies that come for placements are Infosys, TCS , JP Morgan , Deloitte , Bookings holidays , Cognizant, Accenture .

Fees and Financial Aid

Tuition fees year wise : 550000 Tuition fees is same for everyone. Class toppers get a stipend or scholarship of ?10000 per year. Scholarship has a lot of other criterias to be maintained for example attendance, etc.

Campus Life

5

Infrastructure is great here , honestly amazing . The sports facilities here are top notch , there are a lot of courts for different sports . We also have gyms here which are good . There's one cultural fest held every year whicj is quite good . The libraries are top notch for studying . A lot of social groups and clubs are there .

Hostel Facilities

4

Hostel facility is good . Cleaning happens every week . Meal quality and menu is okayish , you'll like a few items and will not like a few . Registration for hostel is simple filling up of a form with hostel preference . I live in 3 sharing ac room which costs 60,000 per sem . For non ac its more affordable around 40k per sem .

Admission

This college firstly had a good placement ratio , a lot of good companies come like Deloitte , Jp morgan , etc . My main reason for choosing this college was placements which is quite good here . Admission process is simple one has to give the KIITEE exam which happens in 3 phases . According to the results of KIITEE exam , admission is done . Overall experience here is good .

Faculty

4

Faculty to student ratio is 1:60 . The faculty are quite approachable , most of them are helpful . A few of the best , most knowledgable faculties are Murari Mandal sir for AI ML , Jyotiprakash sir for computer networks and operating systems . Every semester there are 2 exams , midsem of 20 marks and end sems of 50 marks .

Night Life

3

Gyms are quite good . Cafeteria and libraries are top notch . The libraries are great for self study or even for group discussions etc . There are a lot of places to hangout in near kiit , great restaurants are there and very affordable street food too . Night life is good . Its safe at night . Hostel in timings for boys are relaxed till 9 or 10 pm . For girls its between 7 to 8 pm .

Siksha 'O' Anusandhan University - [SOA], Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Computer Science and Engineering)
Reviewed on Jan 9, 2026(Enrolled 2023)

Course Curriculum Overview:

1. Relevance & Comprehensiveness (Rating: 7/10) The course curriculum at SOA is updated frequently compared to state government colleges. Why I chose this: I was attracted to the fact that the syllabus includes modern electives like Artificial Intelligence, Cloud Computing, and Data Analytics starting from the 3rd year itself, rather than waiting for the final semester. Real-world Prep: The curriculum is designed largely to crack placement interviews. There is a heavy focus on Aptitude and Core Coding subjects (DS/Algo) which helps in getting a job. However, for deep research or R&D roles, the theoretical depth is sometimes lacking. 2. Areas for Improvement Teaching Methods: A major issue is the reliance on PowerPoint Presentations (PPTs). Many faculty members just read off the slides. I would prefer more "Whiteboard Teaching" for mathematical and logic-based subjects. Lab Records: We spend hours handwriting practical records/files which are just copied from the manual. This is a waste of time. This time should be used for live coding projects or hackathons. Outdated Subjects: First-year students (even in CS/IT) are forced to learn heavy mechanical/civil concepts. While basics are good, the depth of these non-core subjects should be reduced. 3. Exam System & Difficulty Frequency: It is quite hectic. We have 2 semesters a year. Each semester has 2 Internal Assessments (Quizzes/Mid-sems) and 1 End-Semester Exam. Basically, you have an exam every 1.5 to 2 months. Difficulty: The exams are Easy to Moderate. It is not very difficult to pass. If you study the "Class Notes" and "Previous Year Questions" for 3-4 days before the exam, you can easily score an 8.0 SGPA. The checking is lenient for passing, but strict if you are aiming for a 9.5+ SGPA.

I actually have a very little idea about placements of our uni few seniors says there is not a single company visiting, while few were discussing the highest placement which was something like 20lpa or something,i think companies do visit our campus it may not be much but i have definetly seen one or two companies visiting. I plan to do MBA after my Btech so i am not that serious about whether i am getting placed or not.

Gandhi Engineering College (GEC Autonomous), Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Computer Science and Engineering)
Reviewed on Dec 22, 2025(Enrolled 2023)

Course Curriculum Overview:

I mainly chose this course because the college is Autonomous, which allows them to update the syllabus faster than standard university colleges; seeing subjects like Python and Data Science in the early semesters really influenced my decision. The curriculum is decent for getting placed in service-based companies like TCS or Wipro since they focus heavily on the basics and aptitude, though for high-end product roles or research, you have to put in extra effort yourself. I definitely think they need to reduce the theory load and focus more on practical coding because sometimes it feels like we are just writing assignments instead of building things. Also, the junior faculty rely too much on reading from slides, which really needs to change to make classes more engaging. As for exams, it feels like we are always writing them since we have two internals and one end-semester exam per term. They are moderately difficult and the checking is strict, so you can't slack off, but the tight schedule can get quite exhausting.
