Course Curriculum Overview
Curriculum is fairly up to date and broad, covering CS fundamentals, systems, and modern electives; strong on projects and labs but some first year redundancy exists. Overall, relevance 8/10, depth 7.5/10
Internships Opportunities
Summer internships can come through campus drives and MOUs with organizations. Companies such as HighRadius typically have cohorts offering paid roles for summer internships. Additionally, they might convert many of their high performers to PPOs.

Placements are strong in volume with 700+ recruiters and 5585 offers in 2024. Overall conversion is 83%. Average B Tech. package hovers near 8.5LPA, highest 53LPA. Mass recruiters dominate, top roles are selective.
Fees and Financial Aid
Tution : 4.4LPA, First year adds: 75k one time, hostel + mess: 1.2-1.5LPA, 4 year tution fees: 17-18L, with hostel 23-24L. Fees increased in 2025. KIITEE topper full waiver; rank based and merit cum means apply.
Campus Life
Life at the University Campus is very lively and structured. The campus offers dozens of clubs and hackathons, large fests, sports complexes and avenues for Student Activity that fills weekend life. Crime is not issue at the hostels and there is Wi-Fi, reading rooms, and variety of room types; food courts and large central library for good meals and study.
Hostel Facilities
The hostels are safe and well equipped with seperate blocks, access to 24x7 Wi-Fi, reading rooms, several indoor/outdoor games, and both AC/non-AC facilities with 2-3 sharing. The mess is attached and the food quality varies per hostel.
Admission
I chose this college for the modern labs, active clubs, broad electives, steady placements, and fast timelines. As for the admission process, no fee is taken for the KIITEE form, you upload your documents, give the test on the date allotted to you and after the online counselling, you are allotted a seat according to your merit.
Faculty
Faculty are approachable, mix of PhDs and industry guests; theory, labs and mini projects with decent mentorship. Course has core CS, electives, projects, and intership. Exams follow mid sem + end sem eith continuous assignments like quizzes, written projects. Marking is relative with internals carrying meaningful weight.
Interview Experience
The admission is done through KIITEE exam which is a MCQ test that you have to give on your assigned centre. It is of 2.5 - 3 hour CBT with Physics, Chemistry and Maths. +4/-1 marking scheme. You can apply for it online, upload documents and then give the KIITEE exam. After that you need to attend the cousinling if you are shortlisted.
Night Life
The evening scene is mellow but improving; late-night cafes and tea stalls near KIIT Square and Patia, and some longues across Jaydev Vihar - Infocity toward and Jaydev Vihar. Sleep is generally safe with patrols occuring but hostel curfews generally stop you from getting back too late.
