KIIT - THE DREAM UNIVERSITY

I always had interest in social media , PR and marketing . So i chose this course which was relevant to my passion . And i wanted this as my profession as well . The curriculum includes various subjects like Marketing management,Human resources , OB , operations etc which prepare us for the real life challenges. they should also include social media marketing and digital marketing in the curriculum as well . There are 6 final semester exams and 6 mid semester exams . The semester exams happen twice a year and the difficulty level is mid .

60% students were placed in my batch . Tcs, Accenture, Adp, EY etc companies hire students . The average package is 3.5 lakhs which is pretty basic . the highest package was recruit crm which offered 9 lakhs but only MBA students were hired . I got placed in TCS . And currently working in the same company .

i paid 1,75,000 per semester as tuition fees . no other fees were needed except examination fee every sem which was 1000 rupees only . every student had to pay this amount irrespective of their category . there was no scholarship applicable for our course

KIIT is a vibrant university. We celebrate festivals all year long . there are like 20-25 festivals celebrated with pomp and show . Mainly Diwali, Holi, eid , chhatt , lohri and christmas . All the festivals lighten up the entire campus and it feels like we are in a different country . There is a separate institute named KSAC in the university which focuses on student led activities . There are various societies for dance , music, drama , quiz etc . The KIITFEST is only of the biggest and most famous college fests that happens every year and students organise it entirely . Many big celebrities appear in kiitfest as well as KIITMUN

My hometown is in Odisha only . So I didnt want to spend much for this course . And KIIT is tier 2 college and very reputed as well . This is a safe place if compared to other colleges . Kiit also gives various facilities which other colleges fail to provide . The faculty, infrastructure, ambience in kiit is much better than other colleges . The admission process is very easy and student friendly . Students have to give KIITEE exam and then secure over 50-60% to get a seat otherwise they can opt for management quota as well .

There are over 100 faculties . They are very friendly and approachable. Many of them are IITians and IIMians . So their knowledge about everything is a plus point . My favourite professor is Abhishek sir . He is an amazing professor. he taught us marketing . He also helps students with their resume building etc since he is very experienced. The professors have strong networking and connections and they help students during placement season . They groom us pretty well for corporate . There are total 6 semesters . And 6 midsems . 5-10% students have backs in their semesters otherwise rest definitely pass the exams with flying colours. the course curriculum is pretty relevant to real life .

There are over 20 gyms . Every campus has a gym for their students . There is a huge sports club . There are basketball grounds, football and cricket grounds as well . The rose garden is very famous especially for the christmas celebration this year and eid celebration as well . There are many hangout places for students like the lakeside in campus 25 , the open air cafe in medical campus , the rose garden , the MBA garden , the rock garden etc . The night life is very attractive and safe in kiit .
