Course Curriculum Overview

4

Internship opportunities out here, placement and updated syllabus are some of the reason why i choosed this course. This course definitely doesnot involve much of chemistry.i was also not good at chemistry. Course genrally require intrest in physics and mathematics.Exams are very much prominent . Mid sems, CAT, end sems that too within span of 4 month hardly in every semester. They give a semester gap of 1½ month after completion of year.

Internships Opportunities

5

Semester system is now followed in colleges after implementation of nep so internship opportunities is limited to fourth and fivth year. Until and unless your cgpa is too low you will get the internship easily, if not provided by college you will get it on name of ict mumbai.

Placement Experience

5

Campus placement is descent. Some of the student opt for higher studies. Almost 80% get placed with good packages.some goes for gate exam. I also know a senior who have gate AIR of 42. I am planning for gate along with my degree.companies like Hpcl , cpcl, exon mobil usually come here for recruiting.

Fees and Financial Aid

Annuall fees is approximately 182000 for first year and nearly same( somewhat less fee) for remaining 4 years. It will definitely increase for upcoming batches. No scholarship or financial aid is provided to any student and fees structure is same for all category students including EWS.

Campus Life

3

Clubs are genrally not present. No clubs are active because of lack of fund from college.Class and labs are well maintained. Usually no fests takes place within the campus but yes many ways to keep yourself involved in bhubaneswar.

Hostel Facilities

5

GEYSERS AND CHILL WATER VENDING MACHINE IS AVLAIBLE. ROOM IS SPACIOUS AND THERE ARE 4 STUDENTS IN A ROOM. ROOM AND BATHROOMS ARE WELL MANTAINED AND RENOVATED TIMELY.If you don't want to opt for hostel you can do soo but hostel life is really good.

Admission

I applied for many colleges.my jee rank was 94297 which was not good considering that i am genral ews . At this rank it was hardly possible to get any college but this college is good considering this much low rank in jee mains.

Faculty

4

FACULTIES ARE GENRALLY SUPPORTIVE AND CAN BE APPROACHED EASILY .THERE ARE PROFESSORS WHO HAVE DONE THEIR MASTERS FROM IIT MADRAS AND IISC AND ONE PROFESSOR HAS DONE PHD FROM NATIONAL UNIVERSITY OF SINGAPORE.NIMAI MISHRA , RAMAKANT SIR ARE DEFINITELY THE GEMS OF THE COLLEGE IF YOU CAN TAKE BENIFIT FROM. NIMAI SIR IS FROM NSUP AND IS ALSO GOOGLE SCHOLAR.HE IS ALSO VERY MUCH SUPPORTING AND FOCUSES ON PRACTICAL KNOWLEDGE.

Night Life

2

Nightlife in and around the campus is relatively low.you are not permitted to leave the hostel after 10 pm and enter the gate without proper authorization after 11pm.girls have to go within the limit of girl's hostel by 10:30.Mess and corridor is common for girls and boys in day-time.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is fairly comprhensive covering core subjects in the first two years and advanced electives like AI,cloud and Data analytics later, which influenced my decision to join. It balances theory with labs and projects, preparing students for real-world applications and higher studies. Exams are held twice a semester plus finals with moderate difficulty. Improvement is needed in making some courses ore practical and updating a few outdated topics.

Placement Experience:

So the students become eligible for placemant usually from the 7th semester of the Btech which is from the 4th year and the internship opportunities are available from the 3rd year onwards that is from 5th and 6th semester. So in year 2024-25 the number of companies that visited The campus is around 330 And the total job offers offered is about 1200. So the highest package in the EC branch is about 1.2 crore per annum and the average package for the EC branch is around 13 to 14 lakhs. And the Profile of jobs are core electronics, VLSI and semiconductor roles ,system and embedded developments, software engineering, IT services, consulting and analytics. The percentage of student which are getting placed are in the range of 90 to 99% for ECE branch. The top recruiters are Apple Google, Microsoft, Amazon, wipro, Deloitte, Tata,Vedanta etc. After completing my degree in ECE from NIT Rourkela my plan is to join the core technology sector as a VLSI and semiconductor engineer in a reputed multinational Companies, leveraging the strong foundation and industrial exposure gained during my studies in case I do not secure a campus placement I aim to pursue the off campus opportunities in electronics, IT or analytics sectors. Alternatively I am open to perceive higher studies in MBA to specialize in the management sector.

Remarks:

KIIT University is a heaven on earth for students. I would suggest. Please do apply for this university if you are interested and you won't regret. The only bad part, it's a private University. And people don't realize it's worth saying it's not a government University so they won't be able to provide jobs. It's a myth. Infrastructure and exposure wise this university is the best.
