Laboratories are maintained very good and have all the necessary equipments
Good placement and internship opportunities
Faculty is well qualified. Most of them have done Phd from IITs

Hostels lack basic facilities such as sanitation

There are various pros and cons about the course curriculum. There are subjects which are highly relevent to the current industry trends , but there are also various subjects which are outdated and are just a baggage for the students. Exam conduction is appropriate

Internships Opportunities

Various multinational companies come to the college for internships for almost all the departments for various roles such as Software Developer and Engineer. The training and placement cell of our college provides regular updates to the students about upcoming oppurtunities

Placement Experience

Placement stats are above average in comparison to other colleges of the country. Various multinational companies like Google, Amazon, Nvidia, Samsung etc. visit the college for campus placements and internships. Students become eligible for internships at the end of 2nd year

Fees and Financial Aid

The yearly tuition fees for B.Tech program is around Rs. 1,20,000.The yearly hostel fees is around Rs. 50,000. These are inclusive ofcaution fees , registration fees , admission fees etc. Our college provides various scholarship oppurtunities for underpreviliged students such as students of lower castes, and students which do not have a very good financial status

Campus Life

Campus life is average. There are various clubs for different recreational activities like music, dance, sports, entreprenurship, modelling, photography etc. There are tho fests , Utkansh, the cultural fest and TechNiti, the technical fest. There are various other events organised on different occasions

Hostel Facilities

There are all the basic facilities present in the room but they are very much old like the fan do not work properly. Hostel booking is done online. Students can choose any room in any hostel according to the ongoing year of their course. Meal quality is not very good. Some meals are very much unhygenic

Hostel Fee: INR 25000 per year

Admission

I chose this college because it was the best college according to the options available to me at the time of my admisssion. It is also close to my home. Admission is based on JEE Mains performance and the admission process is done through JoSAA and CSAB counselling

Faculty

Some of the faculty is very well qualified. Faculty to student ratio for 1st year is 1:90 and for successive years , it depends on the department. The course structure is credit based. There is a mid semester examination of 30 marks and end semester examination of 50 marks and there are also various quizes throughout the semester

Night Life

There is in-time of 7:00 pm for students in the initial days of the hostel , then it is extended upto 9:00 pm and from the 2nd year ownwards, there is no in-time in hostel. I have not explored the night life so much as of now because of the in-time restrictions

Review after 1 year in college.

Placement Experience:

There is about 99% placement rate in our college with and average package of 14 lakhs per annum . The highest package is 52 lakhs per annum, many companies like Microsoft,adobe and nivida visit the campus for placement

Placement Experience:

From 6th semester everyone starts looking for internships and also start applying for the off campus placements and on campus placements begin in 7th semester. Companies like Amazon, Rubrix, Paytm, Delloite etc. visit the campus and depending on the profile provides a certain package.About 98% students get placed in elections and computer related branches.

Overall pleasant experience at LPU

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for campus placements from the second to last year of their studies. Many companies do visit, though several are based in Punjab or nearby areas. Average package is 3-4 lakhs per anum. 20% get placed while the rest dont really opt for it. Rather, they try to get jobs on their own or though internship which also has good scopes in cities like Delhi. The remaining students go for higher studies. My plan is to pursue higher studies abroad.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I am very interested in computer so I want to explore so I choose the non medical stream and opt for CSE course as I expected the college teacher is comprehensive good. But college is lacking in terms of practical knowledge. The arrange the expert talk and all but that is not that much effective

The guide to IIT Ropar

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is not very useful in my views. Except for English none of them are up to date. For example in computing course, we study c language instead of cpp. Also in maths, the calculus is the topic and in exams marks are alloted on the basis of well one wrote in the sheet and it isn't the best method to calculate answer.

Freshman year experience: A review

Placement Experience:

After 4th semester student are eligible for training . And from 7th semester student are eligible for internship. College provide internship but mostly student find itself for stipend. Mainly 60 to 70 percent are placed.

LPU - Beginning of Era

Placement Experience:

From sixth semester students are eligible for campus placements. Companies like Move in Sync , Scalar, Otipy , Amazon , Wipro with many offers. Highest package offered was 42LPA in Microsoft and average was 6LPA in Cognizant. Mostly every student fot placed every year. I need on campus job.

Faculty is okay not good as there is only one or two professors except that all are assistant professor with ongoing PhD degree in particular electrical area. No grieveance facility nothing. Partiality among local students and other state students. No placement help from branch . Practicals laboratory are just for waste .

Best in terms of Placements and Exposure.

Placement Experience:

Like I already told, this college is best to get placement and I guess it is known mainly for the placements. The thing here is, they have joint placement drive along with 2 other campus of cgc. Faculty provide extensive training to crack placement exams and interviews. There are companies with packages from 28-30LPA to companies with package of 3LPA. All depends on how well you perform and what level of knowledge you have. Placement process: 1. Fill placement form online if interested in a company. 2. Online exam - AMCAT or custom exam - Aptitude, English, Technical MCQs and 1-3 Programming question. 3. Interview. Some companies have multiple interview rounds, e.g. 2 technical interview +1 HR interview. This is the basic placement flow. Some companies offers just internship but based on the performance in intership period they will hire you as full time employee.

New experience I explore

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose the mechanical branch as i am interested in how machines and all work. The faculty to student ratio is like 1:35. The faculty is nice and knowledgeable and has proper knowledge about their respective fields. The teaching method is quite good. The exams are done regularly in 1-month gap and to pass the exam, studying is needed.

To be eligible, first a student needs to appear for JEE Mains exam. After the jee mains exam, one needs to go through the josaa counseling process, then one may select the college there and then get admitted by paying the fees online. College - The harsh Prem katha

Eligibility - a candidate must be either appearing on 12th or till 2 years after the 12 th. Application form- you need to apply in this college from jee main application form, it is conducted by nta Reservation - if you are from homestate(punjab) , this will be your golden opportunity, almost 50 % reservation for home state candidate. Since I am from other state , I came here from OBC quota. Improvement in admission process - I felt that, while reporting in nit Jalandhar, after the jossa councelling, the hostels staff would take lots of our time. All about nit jalandhar

First there is exam like jee mains then after getting the result and cutoff list for the advance we will give advance exam after that there is a jossa counselling for both nit, iiit , iit and some gfti that government funded technical institute. We have to select the preference on that basis they provide a college there is 6 round of jossa. If suppose you get some college in 6 round and you don't like that college so you have another option that ia csab round in which all the participant can do counselling but iit are not participating in that counselling.thats all about for the counselling and for the reservation. There is a general , obc , sc , st , ews and pwd reservation. Now while talking about fees structure the fees of iiit is much higher and there is no. Relaxation in that after that while on nits there is a fee relaxation on sc or st student they didn't pay tution fee and for general , obc and ews student if income less than 1 lakh then 100% off for 5 lakh 50 % off all the best...Read More
