Course Curriculum Overview

Because of the esteem market value of nit Jalandhar and my prior interest in civil engineering. A batch of 90 is the average size of class and lecturers are all PhD holders. The college follows the New Education Policy, and hence exams and other stuffs are centrally regulated. Papers were of mediocre level but checking is quite tight.

Placement Experience

Placement is one of the good things to look at in NIT Jalandhar, the nit tag doesn't just help in the campus but also outside campus. Great companies come to the college for the placement drive. Highest salary was of about 1.25 cr to a guy from ECE branch.

Fees and Financial Aid

Being a college of national repute, the semester fee is regulated by the government. Also for weaker students the fee is waived. Scholarship is given to the needed students and also laptop schemes are there, for the needy to buy laptops.

Campus Life

Utkansh and techniti are two of the main fests here in college. Also the college foundation day, Bharat dhwani is celebrated annually. Different sports are there in the college, ranging from cricket, football, volleyball, basketball, lawn tennis, and other athletic games.

Admission

To be eligible, first a student needs to appear for JEE Mains exam. After the jee mains exam, one needs to go through the josaa counseling process, then one may select the college there and then get admitted by paying the fees online. Hostel selection and all other charges for the first semester is to be paid before the offline reporting in the online form.

The curriculum changes as per the need of the industry norms so that student can attain knowledge about the basics as well as the niche technologies.This is the aspect to choose the course and the lab work and continuous competitions help us with the industry trends. The management could be improved. The frequency of exams help us learn well and difficulty is between easy to medium.

Placement Experience:

Only skilled or quality are able to get placed. Usually onwards 6th or 7 th semester, students can be eligible depending on the performances. I can do a job if I like to work there. If not, I will do more internships to get hands on experience.

Placement Experience:

Placements are really great of our college as its avg pakage is of 11 lac from computer related branches. Girls are eligible in second year for inters and for boys its generally from 3rd year because of the reservations.

Chandigarh University: Is it worth the investment?

Placement Experience:

The student become eligible for campus placements from 5th semester. The companies visited per year are approximately 200. They claim 100% placements but in reality they divide students into placement and non- placement batches called tpp and ntpp. If you slip up even once, you will be debarred from the tpp group. The highest package is 53 LPA. The average package is 4.5 LPA. Companies like JP Morgan, TCS, Capgemini, PlaySimple, Cognizant, Nokia, Philips, Morgan Stanley, PWC, KPMG, EPAM, Watchguard, High radius, OYO, Coding Ninjas, Samsung, etc have already came. More companies are yet to come. Since the student intake is too much, placements are really hard to get since there is too much competition. In the end, people get hired in mass recruitment companies and get minimum pay of 3-4 lpa. My plans are apply for off-campus jobs and start working in corporate after the degree. If I don't get a job, I haven't decided what I will do next.

Placement Experience:

After 4 semester students are eligible for sitting in placements. There are alot of company visiting and alot of them take 2-3 with really good package and some handful with good enough packages of nearly10 lpa and the highest package was i think of in last month was of around 60 lpa . My plans after getting a degree is too work my way through companies to a FAANG Companies

Atharv ki dastan nit ki kahani

I got 28102 rank in jee mains and 24576 rank in jee advanced My primary goal was to get into any iit but I can't get due to my rank if I would have got any iit o would have chosen it over In josaa counselling I got iiit bhopal cse which was quite a good option because bhopal is not so distant from home and also has good placement but it has many problems like no permanent campus and hostels etc and very high fees which I can't afford So in next round I got nit jalandhar ice over it because it is a cirtcutal branch enough options in tech and core both morover it comes with a nit tag and less fees and I want clg in north...Read More
