Campus Life

4

In this collage u can have large exposure to any field u want, collage has many clubs and teams of different sports u can be joined according to ur preference and talent. Good sport facilities and playgrounds and institute often conduct celebrations, competetion, conferences, activities time to time. every festival is celebrated with full enthusiasm and rituals. italso conducts technical fests like Techvacanza which is the largest tech fest of jammu and kashmir and Rang de chinar.

Admission

Depend on my rank, all collages i was eligible for, nit srinagar stands best among them, as nit srinagar allowes student of low rank because generally students does not prefer nit srinagar because of its remote location so its cut of goes very low. but unliking cut offs nit srinagar offers decent placement records as compared to other collages so i choose this. if you are general student with no reservation, you can get nit srinagar upto 1 lakh rank in jee mains through josaa or csab councelling After getting this institute you can go to cmpus for physical reporting with necessary documents you will get to know about them on collage website

Faculty

4

Faculties are really good and well educated with good teaching skills ofc not all. if you are really intrested in studies and have will to do something then they'll really support you. Here mid sem is of 26 marks and end sem is of 50 marks and 24 marks are internal marks which completely depend on subject faculty how to give those 24 marks like faculty can divide those marks on the basis of attendence, quiz, behavior or any assingment.

Night Life

1

Srinagar is litreally 0 in night life, There is nothing on the name of night life of srinagar, as everthing closes till 10-11pm. You cannot even order something for late night craving as every restaurant shuts down, You can go out of the campus any time till 6-7pm and and deadline for entering campus is 10-11pm And one thing which nobody can deny is that srinagar is 10/10 in beauty so you can anywhere for fun and chilling, as dal lake shikara ride is 15 min walking distance to the campus, u can go there for mesmerising ride, and there are many mughal garden and many more other places you can visit. You will surely enjoy your 4 years like a vacation.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is quiet relevant it covers all the important subjects and topics.I chose the Ece branch as the demand of semiconductors is rising in the future. The curriculum perpares us well for real world applications. The course teaches us a lot of outdated concepts but it misses out to teach about what is happening in the world right now. So the course can involve a lot of topics that are in trend.

Placement Experience:

Placemets start right from your 7th semester. Most comapnies that would come here would be like vedanta , ashok leyland etc etc who mainly do mass hiring, th no of offers are quite low as for durig my time most companies qul do diversity and hiring would only select girls and the girls were low in numbers as compared to the boys so each girl recieved atleast 2-3 offers while rarely a boy would even rev=cieve a single offer. The highest package was offered by Vedanta but it was 13 lpa in ct in hand it would be arond 5-6 lpa , the average package was also the same around 5-6 lakhs per annum. Percentage of students placed would be around 30 percent but they inflated the numbers heavily but showing only the students who were eleigible as boys were mostle ineligible. My plans are to look for masters somewhere abroad.
