Course Curriculum Overview

4

This course is completely based on practical and its uses in daily life. And this curriculum can be considered as an important role in industrial and other area. It prepare a very well for one to real life applications and further academic pursuits like masters and doctorate etc. The professors should organise a factory visit once in a month to understand the mechanism and how it can be useful in our daily life. Although semester exams were held a bit too early but as considering this fact the exam papers were of moderate level but to answer those questions students should have a high thinking order level and a practical thought process.

Internships Opportunities

3

As I am a first year student I haven't done any internship yet but I will try in future but as I know several companies come here for internship and job opportunities like Wipro and TCS, Infosys etc.

Fees and Financial Aid

As I'm a first year student , I'd paid INR 18900 for my 1st Year. The Tuition fee is 15000 The Caution fee is 1000 The Registration fee is 500 The Admission fee is 1000 The Development and Lab fee is 1400 Also my batchmates have also paid around the same but some of have concession depending on their caste/category.

Campus Life

3

The annual fest which college organises is "TIDE". Tide expectedly held in the February. There are lots of books and magazines in the library. And also the library holds the capacity of more than 200 students and the librarian and other staff a very supportive and gentle and the environment is very peaceful will help you to concentrate and make you stress free. There are several grounds for sports all for itself and also coaches are available and there are also some clubs which we call society's in Delhi University. There are many societies and social groups like Shikhar for mounting, NSS for social welfare and awareness which improves to come out and extrovert nature of a individual and to make him bold.

Admission

I got admission in this college through CSAS from Delhi University as per this system the applicant gets allocation in any college of Delhi University as per his marks in CUET UG EXAM and cut off and also consideration of his preference list. And if I could get a better college I would go for St. Stephen college.

Faculty

1

The faculty to student ratio is like 1:40 . The faculty to student ratio is bounded between classroom and some teachers are also very egoistic and rude. Teachers are approachable but students don't approach to them just because of some of their habits. There is a Prof. Prashant Kumar, he takes our Chemistry Lab classes and his most disappointing side is that he bullies his student and treats them like fool and always says them as dumb.

Night Life

5

There are no gym, a small cafe is there in our college mainly it's Nescafe, and there is a big library. There are no hostel facilities in our college and the campus opens at 8 AM and gets closed at 6:00 p.m. There is a gurdwara near college and a place called Satya Niketan and there is also park near college which anyone can go at night safely and feel free to go

Students become eligible for campus placements around 5th to 6th semester. Highest package of 2024 was 25LPA. Usually 8CGPA is considered a sweet spot for campus placements plus it gets them easier to get into world class universities for post graduation.

Acharya Narendra Dev College - [ANDC], Bachelor of Science [B.Sc] {Hons.} (Biomedical Sciences)
Reviewed on Mar 3, 2026(Enrolled 2024)

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course Biomedical Sciences is very interesting as well as challenging, it covers various fields of sciences and has great scope in terms of research. The course connects theory with real world applications in hospitals and research laboratories. A few examples would include, antibacterial testing, PFT, EMG, blood tests, which are commonly performed in hospitals. The course also helps us to pursue our hands in research further by providing us with hands on training for skills such as biostatistics, writing scientific literature, lab skills, etc. A few improvements that I would suggest is the removal of outdated testing methods and practicals from the curriculum that are not essential for the real world currently. The teaching methods are quite good and interesting. The exams are conducted at the end of each semester and are relevant to the curriculum. The practical exams test your knowledge of hands on experience that you've gained while doing lab work. Theory exams are of 3 hours as per usual and test your theoretical knowledge from books and classes mainly.
