Remarks

Overall I had a great experiences in my college. It organises very good trips. The excitement around voting days are on another level. Best part is its located on the outskirts of Delhi so students from Haryana- Sonipat, Panipat can now be a part of Delhi University residing in their own home.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

Curriculum is divided into 6semesters, however the syllabus gets revised and changes in every 4-5 years. My subjects were even optional i.e. I had choices in higher semesters to what subjects I wanna persue. Practicals and internals are taken very seriously.

Internships Opportunities

No, it does not provide any kind of internship. Atleast not in my course. It may provide some internship or stipend in other courses, but nobody from my batch has got internship by college. Some got volunterily in some private NGOs.

Placement Experience

2.5

Good. In my course, students choose to go for further studies like masters or diploma in some fields. Job opportunities that maximum open up are being teacher and joining NGOs. Getting seat in DSC for masters is a struggle because students score less due to strict checking in final exams.

College Events

4

College fest 2016, had Millind Gauba as celebrity guest. College fest 2017 College fest 2018 Event- completed 50years of existence. Multi cultural events like nukkad natak, beat boxing, singing competition, dance competition

Fee Structure And Facilities

DU is a govt University, and is just not expensive. It's hardly 7000-10000 per year! Examination fees has to be deposited a month before the semester examinations which is hardly 1000. It can be easily deposited through online means.

Fees and Financial Aid

I don't really have information about any scholarship or loan facility. Most colleges of Delhi University do not provide any such facilities to the students. This has to be confirmed by college staff itself.

Campus Life

3

Labs and ground are well maintained and lab equipments are easily accessible. There are a no. of subjects taught in the college and every course had its individual lab like geography, physics, botanical, chemistry, computer etc.

Hostel Facilities

2.5

My college premises had two campus. New building is well infrastructured with all kinds of labs- physics, geography, biology, botanical and computer labs. Have a big maintained playground. Have conference halls and old building has halls for curriculum. No hostels.

Alumni/Alumna

They are helpful. It's just you need to approach them. Nobody is gnna step up for you, so feel free to come forward and ask for help. Network is not that strong but social networking sites are always helpful to find alumnus and seniors.

Exam Structure

Semester exam takes place at every semester ending i.e. 6months. Otherwise class tests take place all through the lectures. Internals are held after covering half of the syllabus. Semester exams include choices in questions too.

Admission

Delhi University release it's cut off after 12th board examination results. Students keep a track of which college has what cut off and enroll themselves in whichever course they are interested in according to their score. Students must get a seat in whichever college they get, because it's DU's pattern. if you have enrolled in a college during 1st cut off, then only you'll be able to get admission in that or any other college of DU, even if your score is elegible for 2nd/3rd cut off.

Faculty

4.5

Teachers are punctual, experienced and regular. They very hard working and helping. They provide information from where to source yourself, and encourage to take part in college events too. Only some are quite lenient.

Placement Experience:

The placement opportunities are mainly for commerce stream departments but the humanities stream also are offered internship from the government ministries such as ministry of culture and Home ministry. There are many private companies that come to offer placements. The students from 3rd year in particular apply for internships. The highest package iffered is 500000 and the average is 250000. About 45% students get placements. My plan after getting the degree is to go for higher studies.
