Remarks

No nothing negative. You get railway concessions and thus traveling is free. But I do have a problem with canteen food as it is unnecessarily costly and incomparison to what they charge taste is not that good at all.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

It's based on business management & accounting. However it should be updated but overall it's the fault of education system and not the college. I believe Bcom is not less than other courses as it also covers all mandatory subjects.

Internships Opportunities

Yes they provide internships & placement opportunities even to aided course students i.e Bcom students. So yes I believe bcom was and is a right choice. Internships & placements both are good. Just prepare yourself well.

Placement Experience

3.5

They are good however locations maybe unsuitable for some students. Rest all is ok. Salary offered is good , designations are good jobs are good also companies are very good. They place their students im good companies.

College Events

3.5

All events are celebrated. These guys really conduct more than 500 events a year. They conduct workshops, seminars ,fests ,tours, industrial visits ,etc. They do provide participation certificates. Additionally they conduct games on finance & business

Fee Structure And Facilities

I believe that the fees structure is University based and not college based. For bcom it is very inexpensive but for professional courses. It is very expensive for other courses. If you notice most of the subjects and curriculum is similar to bcom.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yes they do provide scholarships but I dont know much about it,they don't provide loan facilities. There are some scholarships comducted overall the year you can participate and try your luck. Loan is not required as it is not that expensive.

Campus Life

3.5

Yes many activities are conducted throughout the year. There are computer labs, library, canteen, probably no campus, there is a seminar room. a conference room. Sports are conducted on state & national level but I don't know much as I'm not a sports person.

Hostel Facilities

0.5

Infrastructure is good but not the best, but it is worth to go with HR as you will learn a lot,the atmosphere is good and it is really good for your education. Yes it lacks campus, But rather than campus I really want these guys to provide Mba or diploma programs in marketing Hrm finance etc.

Alumni/Alumna

Yes they are very helpful & friendly. They participate in college events actively & are very bold. You can make many friends if you are regular to college. More than attending classes, you may see students participating in extra curricular activities.

Exam Structure

It is semester based. Two semesters every year for three years. Particularly grade system. In my opinion, exams are easy you don't need to work that hard to score good. Just a subject overview & good writing skills are enough.

Admission

The admission process was simple & easy,it was based on merit list. Students were conducting the admission procedure. It is systematic & justified. All you need is to score well. It is completely merit based.

Faculty

4

All faculties have deep subject knowledge. They all are doctorates with good research & teaching background. They are familiar & optimistically. They will always help you & advice you. So you don't nred to worry about teaching quality.

Course Curriculum Overview:

One of the key aspects of the curriculum that influenced my decision to choose the B.Com course at Sydenham College was its strong foundation in core commerce subjects such as Accounting, Economics, Business Law, and Finance. The structured progression from basic to advanced concepts, along with exposure to subjects like taxation and auditing, made the program particularly appealing for students aiming for careers in finance, CA, CS, or management.

Placements society of college is just a decade old and still top companies like Zues Capital, Barclays, and Icici bank are among the top colleges that have become a part of ecosystem where 30-40 students is what each companies hires every year. Not many though as too many sections and 500+ students means getting placed even half the students can be a task where Mithibai placement percentage is 60 odd percentage.

Placement Experience:

Impeccable, amazing and unbelievable are the placements here. For B.Com which is as always a crowded college, making sure 60-70% students have placements through campus is a task not less than climbing everest. So definitely all I can say is our college has done so well that it is now the first choice college for commerce not just among Mumbaikars but overall as well.
