Course Curriculum Overview

4

In terms of relevance, our courses are taken directly from ivy leagues and some courses from Delhi Univeristy as well. That clearly proves the relevance. They have added skill courses as well as the emerging AI, that shows how they take care of the relevance.

Internships Opportunities

2

They provide internships through superset, an app. They are not very good and the reach is bad. People usually don't take it very seriously and just find internships on their own. We require 4 internships of minimum 28 days to get our degree.

Fees and Financial Aid

The tution fees is 3.5 lakhs, and residential fees is 2.5 lakhs per year with aprox 10% increase every year. We paid a security desposit of 50,000 in the start, registeration fees of 25,000 and one time admission fees of 15,000. For certain programs there may be developmental fees and lab fees but not for ours. There are various scholarships, merit based, special ones to SC/ST/OBC, excellence scholarship and COVID-19 relief scholarship.

Campus Life

4

Social life is peak in Jindal, you meet new people every day. However it may get overwhelming and you may find yourself lonely. Clubbing is done every thursday at a nearby place. Party culture is a lot and people go crazy for all kinds of stuff and alcohol.

Hostel Facilities

4

We have 2 sharing, 3 sharing and 4 sharing which completly depends on your luck. I got 2 sharing in year 1 and now I got 2 sharing is 2nd year. We have a bed, study table, closet, attached washroom very clean (depends on roomates) and also drawers and a cupboard above the study table. Very comfortable hostel. Food is very nice is the mess it just gets boring as you keep eating the same food again and again. They tend to repeat the food a lot. We have 4 meals in a day and this is all included in the residentail fees only.

Admission

I wanted to go to NMIMS mumbai, I did not get in and Jindal was my back up, hence I chose this college. Other colleges like christ and symbiosis don't have such economics courses. Jindal had good faculty and a residential campus as well.

Faculty

4

Faculty is very nice as I mentioned from the very best colleges they have all done PHD, they have immense knowlesge. They always help you out in the harsh times. The ratio is 20:1 I think. For courses, its graded out of 100 usually 50 internal and 50 external, for some courses it may be 70-30. The CGPA is out of 8, so if you score above 80, it is an 8/8.

Interview Experience

4

There was a written test called JSAT which I gave and had the same syllabus as other competetive exam, it was help online only. After clearing that I had a personal interview. They asked me question about economics in general, why jindal, applied to any other college kind of questions. Just speak confidentaly and answer, they are very sweet in general.

Night Life

4

The camous never sleeps just like new york. You will find people around all times of the day. Library is open 24/7, Gym is open from 5am-2am and cafes close around 1am in the night but however vending machines are there all across the camous and are very convineient. There are no hostel timings as such and classes vary largely for the timings, they start around 9am and end at 10pm, you may have 2-3 classes a day 1.5 hours each spread across they day.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Specific Aspects That Influenced the Decision For students choosing a professional or certificate course, the curriculum usually becomes the deciding factor based on three key pillars: Job-Oriented Specific Skills: The primary influence is the curriculum's direct focus on market-based, job-ready skills (e.g., Python, Data Science, Digital Marketing tools). Unlike a traditional degree, the appeal is that every module must be immediately applicable to a job. Portfolio Development: Students are heavily influenced by modules that are project-based or require them to build a portfolio (like a website, a code repository, or a marketing plan). The curriculum must be designed to result in tangible work that can be shown to employers. Industry Certification Alignment: If the course prepares students for an external, recognized industry certificate (like CCNA, MCP, or Google/Meta certificates), the curriculum's strict adherence to that certification standard is a major influence. 2. Preparation for Real-World Applications The curriculum of a successful short-term course is designed to excel specifically in preparing students for real-world applications. Curriculum Improvements Mandatory Soft Skills Integration: While technical skills are a focus, the curriculum should mandate dedicated modules on non-technical, yet critical, job skills like: Professional Communication and Email Etiquette Team Collaboration and Project Management (Agile/Scrum basics) Interview Preparation and Mock Interviews Industry Feedback Loop: Establish a more frequent and formal system to update the curriculum based on current industry demands, possibly involving an advisory board of employers or recent alumni.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is highly relevant and comprehensive, according to me. The core courses that are mandatory for a student to take are highly relevant and necessary in order to develop the relevant skills and knowledge in that specific domain of the field. Electives on the other hand, are a student's choices and may or may not be relevant directly to the course one is studying. The university offers a wide range of electives and the electives are also taught by highly qualified professors across the 12 different schools of JGU. The end semester exams are either of 30 marks or 50 marks, depending on the course. Electives usually have a 30-mark end-of-semester exam for 1.5 hours. The exams are pretty easy and theoretical and contextual, unless the course one has chosen is strictly application-based and demands applications of theoretical frameworks. The core exams in the first and second year are divided across 50 and 30 mark exams and are often for 3 hours. The exams are pretty easy and theoretical except for the practicum courses, which are deeply application-based. The final year has very few core courses which are for 30 marks.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I was influenced because I wanted to study more about how a person makes decisions, form perception and how a person's mind works . The curriculum prepares us for real world as we study about different aspects of psychology. The curriculum can be improved a little by adding a elective course in which we can get a little experience and arranging trips . The exams are not too difficult or too easy , just in perfect depth of the subject.
