IIT Delhi Review

Actually i had interest in the machines and cars from my childhood so i was dedicated to take mechanical engineering only. It was my dream to get admission here at IIT Delhi. Also the cirriculam prepares us well for the real world applications in various fields. There isno need in improvment in the course cirriculum or the teaching methods as everything is very nice. The exams are way difficult at our college. The timings for an 100 mark paper is decided by the proffesor and sometimes it may be 2 hours and sometimes 3 hours

So in interships we get to learn various things about companies and how all the work is done. Also after internship many campanies give ppo to students that is pre placement offer to students. Also I am still in first year so i dont have much idea about projects offered.

In the third year students start getting internships in our college.And placements are done in the 7th Semester.So yeah we get a job before we pass out from college. The companies that visit are Microsoft , Google, Tata,Zomato ,Swiggy,Amazon, Samsung etc. In Mechanical the averge package is 20 lakhs and the highest package is 55 lakhs. Around 90 percent students get placements and the 10 percent students are those who either start a startup or persue higher studies in abroad. My plans after degree is to do a dream job at google.

The semester fees for our institution is 114000 which includes 100000 as tution fee and 8600 as the hostel rent and the other are charges of exams and 1 time payable charges.So the yearly fees will be double of it. There are no lab fees and its totally free of cost. No discount is provided to categories in our college it all depends on the Parentel income of the child.If its more than 5 lakh then you have to pay whole fees of the college.If your parental income is between 1 lakh to 5 lakh then we have to pay one third of the fees,and if the parental income is less than 1 lakh then ypu do not have to pay any fees in our college. The Alumins of our college provide various scholarships to 1st year students. Also if any one has to persue higher studies in abroad then scholarship is provided to them.

We have the rendevous North India's largest fest held in the month of September with some crazy pro night at everyday and it is for5 days. We have the sports fest also known as the GC among the hostels of IIT Delhi. We have social fest in the month of February known as Kaizen and we have techfest in the month of March. The classes are well maintained and looks like we have come to study at foreign universities. There are various sports for cricket, Football, Lawn tennis, Volleyball, etc also we have sports complex which includes tt tables baddy courts squash courts etc. Students runs varous clubs like dancing singing drama Lits etc

We are provided with personal Almari and table chair and book shelves in our room. The mess quality is really very nice and i love eating in our mess. A proper hygein is maintained in our mess. Staff workers cover their hair with a cap and wear gloves while serving and preparing the food. The hostels are provided randomly to us and we have to live 4 years in this hostel only.The registration is done on the very 1st day of the college. I have no idea about pg as everyone lives in hostel only as hostel provides the happiness with your friends that pg cant provide

I had applied for many colleges and yeah i was getting admission in Mnc branch at IIT Roorkee and mechanical at IIT Bombay. But as I already mentioned I had interest in Mechanical from first so i was dedicated to take admission in mechanical branch only. But i rejected IIT Bombay as IIT Delhi's culture is very good as i had heard from my seniors and i wanted to learn a lot by going away from home so icame to iit delhi. For admission in IIT Delhi we need to apply at Josaa and for exams we need to secure a good rank in jee Advance. And for giving JEE Advance we need to come in top 2.5 lakhs students all over India.

The faculty to student ratio depends on the subject. For some subjects it is 1:300 and for some it is 1:150. Alsothe teaching method of the professors is very nice. We have various TA's for every subject which look after personal doubt sessions in the tutorial classes. Also we have personal doubt session with the proff after every class. The professor i liked themost is Aparna Mehta from Mathematics department as she used to teach us very nice.All facalties were very nice and i liked all of them.The exam pattern in our college is like this we have 2 quizes and 1 mid term exam and one final exam and al have their own weightage decided by the proff.

Every hostel has their own personal gym and are open 24*7. The libraries are open till 3am and closes only for 3 hours due to its maintanence and again opens at 6 am. We are free to roam in the campus 24*7 and also we can go out of campus anytime and also entry is also given at any time. The hangout places inside the campus are biotech lawn sac lawn main building etc. The places we go out are GS Rai beside our college.
