Course Curriculum Overview

4

I opted my course purely due to interest. I find myself inclined towards infrastructural development which brought me in here. Some courses here are outdated but most of them are of utmost importance and also meet the market demands. Inclusion of AI ie the artificial intelligence in all the course curriculums has made it easy for the students to get into the market and meet the demands the market presents. There are a lot many opportunities the students can grab studying these courses. The courses here prepare one for the market as well as giving a humane development.

Internships Opportunities

5

The roles vary as per the educational qualifications and the skills an individual has. People develop a lot of skills while being at the campus and then they apply for an internship. Internship stipend also varies depending upon the quality of skills developed right from 10k per month to 20 lakhs per month

Placement Experience

5

Students become eligible for sitting into placements after the 6th semester that is the 3rd year. Students are offered internships too before in the second year itself. All the global unicorns visit the college during the placement season in order to hire the students as employees including Google, Qualcomm, Samsung, Goldman Sachs and what not. Number of offers made varied from 900-1000 per year The highest package offered was 2.5 crores per annum and averaging around 22 lpa. Roughly 90% of the batch gets places and the remaining 10% are either into startups or government exams such as the UPSC. I too want to pursue a UPSC preparation post graduation.

Fees and Financial Aid

The annual fee to be paid here at IIT Delhi is approximated close to 2.5 lakhs per annum, which has rebates that can be considered as per the family income. The tuition fee is 1 lakh per semester which makes it 2 lakhs per annum. They charge an annual seat rent of 8.5k which is refundable when you graduate. The lab fee and accessibility fee is included in the tuition fee. They charge an additional 1500 rupees as examination fee per semester which is included in the fee that is approximated close to 2.5 lpa. Considering the family income, they waive the fee and provide additional scholarship too. (The above mentioned fee is the standard fee pre waivement.)

Campus Life

5

Everything is top notch here. Two fests take place annually which are the main ones namely Rendezvous and the Tryst in the months of August and March respectively. Sports is very curated and highly supported here so there is no need to worry about the support as there are a lot of experienced seniors and guiding coaches present all around the campus. Classrooms are engaging (but the profs are boring) Cultural activities to are vastly present all around the campus. Literature is also very preserved here with a very large library in the campus where you can get anything and everything to read.

Hostel Facilities

5

Room was semi furnished when we entered with bed lights and fans and almirahs too. All the other accommodations had to be brought for one's own needs. The locality is very good and the vibe of the hostel is very exciting. Registration was smooth and the fee charged is 78000 per year. The food provided is very higeinic and tasty too.

Admission

I preferred this college over the other ones because of the extensive alumni network this college has. The network of the alumni's here helps in getting new ideas and also adds up to the motive of startup's and business ideas. The other colleges I applied to were the top 7 IITs including Bombay, Kanpur, Madras, Kharagpur, Guwahati and BHU. Yes i was offered admission there too but this college was at a higher priority in my counselling list. One has to clear JEE Mains and JEE Advanced with a good rank in order to get admitted to IIT Delhi. Overall admission experience is seamless if you have a good rank at the JEE Advanced and it's not so soothing otherwise.

Faculty

3

The faculty to student ratio is very poor. A professor has to deal with a large batch of students reducing the one on one interaction that the professor can have with an individual. The classes become boring because of such scenario as the other students sitting in the class seem to be missing out on it. The interaction between the front benchers and the instructor is very high and the same for the back benchers is almost negligible. People can be seen sleeping all through the class. Some of the courses are very boring and some of them are extremely tough with no market use at all. Rest of the courses are interesting. The environment here is competitive which surely helps an individual to grow so one can easily get to learn a lot many things in here as a student. The profs are cool dudes excluding some of them. They throw random parties for their students just in case they are happy with the class. The environment is very good and some of the professors are actually concerned for the students.

Night Life

5

Nightlife is very good in here. The hostel gyms are functional in here all round the clock with a lot of night messes all around the campus, there is a lot to do for the foodies too. Hostel and campus has no restrictions and you can freely roam around.

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for campus placements from 6th semester onwards. The average package is around 20 LPA and the highest package is 85 LPA. The placements percentage for top branches is around 80% and many big companies like Amazon, Uber, Google, Microsoft, etc. offer placements. After my degree I plan on securing a placement on the tech field.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the course curriculum as **fairly comprehensive and reasonably relevant**, especially in terms of building a strong foundation in core engineering concepts. One of the factors that influenced my decision to choose this course was the **structured curriculum covering important fundamentals such as programming, data structures, mathematics, and core engineering subjects**, which are essential for both technical roles and higher studies. The curriculum provides a solid theoretical base and helps develop analytical thinking, but for real-world applications students often need to complement it with **projects, internships, coding practice, and self-learning**, since some topics are still taught in a more traditional or theoretical way. In terms of improvements, the curriculum could benefit from **more industry-oriented electives, practical assignments, updated lab work, and interactive teaching methods such as case studies or project-based learning**. The exam system typically includes **two major exams per semester — a mid-semester exam and an end-semester exam — along with internal assessments, quizzes, and assignments**. The exams are generally **moderate in difficulty**, and students who attend classes and prepare consistently are able to perform well, though the evaluation tends to focus more on conceptual understanding and written exams rather than purely practical skills.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I really liked physics and applications of physics so chose mechanical engineering, as ut has a lot of application of physics directly can really see how things work not just ideally but actually Curriculum is really good besides getting assignments which noone takes seriously everyone just copies , there must be much more practical stuff so that everyone learns but we do get that in tech teams but not directly as a student in college. There must be practical teachings and proper guidance proper high level machineary must be there, industry visits must be there and internships in such companies must be encouraged There are 5 exams of 1.5 hour considered as mid sems and 6 exams of 3 hours considered as endsems

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course Curriculum for ECE in my clg is quite up to date and comprehensive, covering both core subjects and emerging areas of technology, which was a major factor in my decision to choose this branch. Course has a balanced theory with practical exposure, supported by great faculties guidance and well-maintained lab conditions. Also you get to choose the type of minor or specilaization you want to pursue after 1st year. Exams are conducted regularly after each semester, and levels are same as any engineering college would have.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The frequency of the exams is 2 times a year once in the month of December and once in the month of May. Internal exams (tests) are conducted in between to continuously evaluate you during the course. According to me, the exam should be conducted before itself, so that we can get more time for internship opportunities.
