Course Curriculum Overview

4

* in the first year we have no chooices for the course since the courses are fixed for all the strudents.and for choosing the department to study over here it was not based on the interest rather more on our jee rank.but choosing biotech department was quite good since it gives us a lot of free time to explore everything iin our lives and other cultural activities. * the curriculum for the specific department are designed to face all teh challenges in our corporate lifes and wroking places . the cultural activities prepare us for consultancies and make us a very good interactor. we are not just here for our academic development but also fro our skill development.even the pressure from our peer groups makes us a very competitive personallity also makes us push even harder and thus we are able to enhance in our lives. * i think there should be one on one doubt clearing sessions for students by the professors themselves to increae the interestion with teachers and haveing a more clearity over topics.

Placement Experience

5

* from fourth year students are eligible for campus placements . the semester from which we are eligible are 7th semester and 8th sem.but there are some students who even get placements from 3rd year that iss 6 th semester due to their capabilities . *in the yesr 2024 the notable recruiter includes *air india *microsoft * goldman sachs *bajaj auto *texas instruments * ola electrics. these companies extended 1050 job offers also inluding ppo's *the highest salasry pacakge was 2 crorre internationally and 1 crore domestic package.the core sector emerged as the highest recruiting domain , inluding about 42 percent of placements. * at the 2023 - 2024 placements season overall 84 percent of students werre successfully palced for placements.notably the cpre sector was the highest recruiter including 42 percent of the total placements. * welll although i am from biotech sector my main goal is going into consultancy .if it does not work then i will think of tech sector r upsc exam.

Fees and Financial Aid

* for the first year btech program i have paid a total of 290000 rupees as my early fees. * my tution fees is 200000 rupees and labfees, development fees is included in this only.there was no registration fees but a sum of 35000 was taken during jossa counselling. * the tution fees for ews category is 33000 and mess and hostel fees are same as general.there is no tution fees for sc and st category and mess and hostel feels are same as ours. *merit cum mean scholarship-->provided to ug students based on academic performance and finance need. ENDOWNMENT FUND SCHOLARSHIPS-->provided by alumni networks and donors.

Campus Life

5

* the fests are really awesome over here . some of the most facinting fests are rendezvous and tryst.rendezvous - > annual culturla fest of iit delhi and one of the largest in the whle country.itfeatures music dance drama and literature events.itt occurs in the month of october. tryst->it occurs in feb. and march serve as a place for showcasing talent and fostering creativity. *the books in the library are available to all of the students and it is really a very nice and big library. even if you ant ot take a b book for home then you can make a contact at the counter and can it will be issued to you for a cerain period of time depending upon the need of the books . *our college lecture hall classrooms are technologically advanced . Indeed .Our medium sized classrooms has a capacitiy of 300 that's why there is a 1 big projector and 2 small projectors and a large sized classrooms has 2 big projectors and 2 small projectors. Along with this there 1 big LED TV in the front . There are also facilites of charges points for students for the charging their electronic devices in each classroom . Each classrooms gives the high speed internet facilites for the students . *there is a general chamionship of sports held every year in college . Each hostel has proper sports facilites . There are 3 big playgrounds our college and 1 big indoor sports complex . *our college provides personal counselling for students . There are many social groups which is running by the seniors . There are many student friendly portal which helps in non academic problem.

Hostel Facilities

3

* In a room, we have three cupboard for keeping ours stuff and toilteries. Also we have two bookshelfs and three single bed in a room. Also we are provided with three different studying tables and clothes hanger. We have two fans and three tubelight in a room. Also their is a 24x7 interent connectivity. * The qualtiy of mess food is quite moderate. We had different items for all seven days of the week. The food is made to the relevance of students. The food menu includes majority of classic dishes. The south indian food is the speciality of our hostel (Zanskar). *For registering in hostel we have to fill five forms in the start of the semester. The form includes all the necessary information regarding the student. The hostel fees is very affordable for all the students irrespective of the catergory. The hostel fees is forty five thousand per semester. * I have not rented any room or pg so i am not aware of the surrounding locality.

Admission

* well.. i didn't applied for any other college but in my option list there were bother colleges like bits pilani , nit tirchi and else . since my percentile was more than 99 i was qualified for nit tirchi but i didn't gave any exam for bits college. i chose iit delhi over any other colloege since the reputations off iit delhi is all over the world and then there was this alumni network thing for iit delhi which was very nice . also some of my elder cousins are over here in iit delhi . *no i was not rejected from any other colloge since i didnt applied for any of them . *the admission process of our college includes 2 etier exams that are jee mains and jee advance. first you have to clear jee main and then 2.3 lakhs atudents are qualified for jee advanced .in jee advanced the total number of seats are around 16000 .then after clearing jee advanced we have this jossa counselling where we have to fill our prefferncees for which department and which iit we want to opt for.

Faculty

4

since i am in the first year each faculty is hand ling approximately 40 - 50 students and we can approach themm in scheduled time in their offices . yes they are very approachable and really good explainers adn mentors. so far all the faculties are really good but i specially like prof. pramit.K.chowdhary. he explain everything really well and have a good sense of humor.i have not specially liked professor ritumoni sharma since he seemed to be haveing a very low interest in teaching and he was an old aged teacher who was not much enthusiast. basically there are two exams in a semester. they are majors and minors and they are really difficult due to the competitive environment . also there are quizzes in between majors and minors.the level of quizzees is quite simpler as compared to the main semester exams but they are also tough for a gnreal student. for the marking schemes we have a credit system . the credit of a course varies from 1 to 4 depending upon the course . the final result is in the formm of cgpa and is calculated as the weigthed mean of all teh courses

Night Life

4

* yeah we have gym's and cafeterias for the use of students. The gym's facilities are provided free of cost to the students. The hostel gym are in really nice condition and their is a properly monthly maintenance for all the gym's. Also their is a central gym's in SAC (Student Activity Centre) but that is paid one. Now talking about the cafeteria's there are total 12 hostels and each one of them have their own cafeteria. Also there are Juice Shops at different corners of the IIT campus. * There is no specific timings for the entry and exit of the hostels. Students are free to go in and out of the hostel premises. * There are many hangout places inside the campus. Out of these my favourite ones are Rajdhani, Holistics, Cafe Coffee Day, BioTech Lawn and IIT market. IIT Campus is one of the safest places to be here in the city. There are a number of security guards at different centered places of the campus.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course Curriculum for ECE in my clg is quite up to date and comprehensive, covering both core subjects and emerging areas of technology, which was a major factor in my decision to choose this branch. Course has a balanced theory with practical exposure, supported by great faculties guidance and well-maintained lab conditions. Also you get to choose the type of minor or specilaization you want to pursue after 1st year. Exams are conducted regularly after each semester, and levels are same as any engineering college would have.

Placement Experience:

The placements are in good terms, many students get a placement with nice package. Students become eligible for campus placements from 3rd Semester. TCS made about 7 offers as far as I know. One can expect the highest package of 2.5crore and an average of 200000. About 80% of students gets placement because of the skills they learned wheres the rest 20% are only at college to do mischievous acts. After getting the degree, I will find a job and then after enough capital I will start my own startup.

The frequency of the exams is 2 times a year once in the month of December and once in the month of May. Internal exams (tests) are conducted in between to continuously evaluate you during the course. According to me, the exam should be conducted before itself, so that we can get more time for internship opportunities.
