Course Curriculum Overview

5

Course curriculum is relevant and comprehensive with updated syllabus. My course being A.I & Robotics has one of the best relevant curriculum to the course. I chose this course because it's futuristic and has a pretty good scope in terms of job opportunities. After completing the course we'll be industrial ready to solve real world problems. We can easily go to higher studies with the demanding growth of the course. There's no need for any improvements in any of the course structure and curriculum You'll have inernals once in one and a half month and 1 externals per semester which is decent.

Placement Experience

4

Placements in this college are pretty decent when compared to all other colleges in Bengaluru. Average package being somewhere around 5LPA, Higgest being 45LPA. Students are eligible to attend campus placements by the end of 5th semester itself. Around 50 companies offered pretty decent packages. Some of the companies being Accenture, OLA, Flipkart, Wipro, Bosch, Capegmini, Goldman Sachs etc... 550 offers were made by the companies Around 60-75% of the students are being placed in this university where rest of them opt for higher studies or not being placed. My plans after getting the degree is to attend placement drives and get myself selected in a company.

Fees and Financial Aid

General category, 1st year - K CET fees - 97500 Examination fee - 10000 Skill Development Fees - 24000 Library Deposit (refundable) - 2000 Total= 133500 Same fees for all the 4 years of the course The above fee structure is same for 3A, 3B category students too The above fee structure is same for Computer Science, Computer science and technology, Electronics and communication, AI&ML, A.I & Robotics too.

Campus Life

4

My over all experience with respect to campus life, I would say it's pretty good, I got to attend a lot of cultural activities, fests, events which will be conducted regularly. We'll have a mega event once every year which will be conducted for 3 days in a row. It's called by different name every year, being Taranga, Tantra... They'll be held usually in the moth of September. Some of the open arena activities will be conducted once every month on special occasions. Every festival is celebrated with some activities. We have got a massive library which provides us with a vast range of books, newspapers, journals, systems etc. Each and every classroom has a smartboard installed which provides visual aspects of the subjects. We have got 5 massive lecture halls which has the capacity to accommodate 200 students in each of them. The university has got a small cricket ground, turf football gound, track for running, volleyball court, 4 basketball courts, 3 ball badminton courts, 1 picklball court. Cricket matches will be held twice in a year, one mega sports event will be held once in a year. There are many student-run social groups, clubs conducted in the university.

Hostel Facilities

4

For boys you have an option of 3 sharing rooms or 4 sharing room(rooms with bunker beds. Where you have study table at the bottom and bed on the top). And for girls you having 2 sharing, 3 sharing, 4 sharing and 6 sharing. You'll have an attached bathroom in the room too. And you have elevators in the hostel. Food provided in the campus mess is on the average side which made me shift to the PG. Menu is decent. You can directly register yourself at the hostel and complete procedure for accomodation will be done over there itself. Hostel affordability compared to other colleges is kinda poor. But you'll even have a choice of many PG's around the college itself.

Admission

I chose this college over other colleges because of the best infrastructure it has and decent campus placement opportunities. It has one of the best on campus placement drives which matters a lot. I got admitted to this college through K-CET in my 3rd round of counselling. In my choice entry I had even applied to some other colleges like RV college of Engineering and BMS college of Engineering and I was not able to ace the seat in those colleges because of my bad rank in K-CET exam :( I chose those two colleges in my choice entry because they were some of the reputed colleges in Bengaluru, but least that I knew was that even this was one of the highly reputed college in Bengaluru too. After completing my counselling I had to come to the campus in person for my admission. They'll verify all the necessary documents for the admission. There are even other exams being accepted in the university such as KCET, JEE. They even have their own entrance test called DSAT for admission into the college for payment seats which will provide some reduced fees opportunities if you ace the exam. Most of the students prefer K-CET to get admitted to this college. Usually you will have to get yourself a rank less than 25000 in KCET to get a seat in this university for Computer Science, AIML in first round of the counselling for general category students. Overall admission experience is pretty good!

Faculty

5

Faculty members here are pretty good with them having good skills and knowledge in subject and teaching. Faculty to student ratio is approximately 1:10 in some branches and 1: 20 in other branches like computer science. Faculties here are just like friends to the students, they interact pretty good with the students, they will always encourage and support you in every aspect. You can approach them at any time you need in their respective cabins during the college hours. One of the best faculty here is Dr. Pramod Kumar Naik sir, because he's very supportive in subjects and projects. He provide us with all the additional knowledge that you require and he's easily approachable!! Mechanical department here has one of the best faculty too!! You'll know it only when you experience it.... There's no such faculty that are Hateable here... Coming to the exams part... There will be 3 exams per semester that includes 2 Internal assessment for 40 marks in each subject for each internals and lab exams, assignment for 20 marks and 1 external exam for 100 marks which will be converted to 40 marks, therefore all of these summing to a total 100 marks. Exams are pretty decent, quite on the average side. Students don't fail to pass the exams but some of them keep backlogs in some subjects. Like 3-5 students keep a backlog in some subjects from each class. It's not true for every class, quite few. Course curriculum is quite relevant to the course. It has got all of the decent subjects that should be provided in the course.

Night Life

5

After college hours you can go play some sports in the ground or you can just wander around the massive campus and enjoy yourself. There's a gym in the hostel with minimal equipments, indoor games like snookers, carrom, Fussball and a mini movie theater too!! The campus has 4 Caffetterias. You should return to your hostel by 9:30PM (closing time) . Whereas college will end at 4: 30PM. You can hangout anywhere around the college either it can be cafeteria, sports ground, open arena, lawn area between the hostel and enjoy the lake view. The campus is 1000% safe at day and night.

The curriculum is fairly relevant and covers both theoretical and practical concepts needed for academics and basic industry knowledge. Some subjects are updated according to current trends, but adding more industry-oriented projects and practical exposure would make it even better.
