Remarks
It is Good college with decent placement and opportunities. It is place which is far from distractions and has fresh air and greenery all around. Their are fest organised for the students every semester to have a good college life.
Course Curriculum Overview
It is the founding branch of my college and deals with the technical aspects of Agriculture such as food processing and harvesting , Soil and Water Conservation Techniques , Irrigation techniques of crops and Machineries used in Farm. It is having a great Future scope and market value as India is an Agricultural Country and all our food comes from the farms. The Examination pattern in my university is External in finals and internal in the minors. The final examination comes from an external University. The passing Barrier is very high that is you have to score 50% in each subject to pass the subject.
Placement Experience
The placement in my branch are decent. Every year companies like John Deere , Mahindra , Escorts visit the campus for Placements. yes my college provides internships. The internship in my branch is held after the completion of 3rd year of graduation. I have already completed one internship in a travel guide firm whose name is Guidevilla.
College Events
The Annual Cultural and Fine arts fest - Accolade , It includes cultural things like Dance , Singing , Acting etc. Celebrity Night and DJ night is organised in this Fest. The annual Technical Fest - Colloseum - It is having technical events of each branch. And Band Night and Celebrity night is also organised in this Fest. The fun Fare - Razmattaz Science and literary festival - Litrosphere
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee is very feasible as it is a state government affiliated University. The total fee per semester including the hostel and mess fee ranges between 45-50 thousand. Scholarships are available for poor students.
Fees and Financial Aid
TFW seat is given to the students who come from weak economic section in which the tuition fee is waived off. Other scholarship are also provided according to financial status. Scholarships are also available for SC/ST students.
Campus Life
The University has its own Stadium called Stevenson Stadium which has every sport facility. Cricket and Football ground , TT Court , Badminton court , Tennis Court , Gymnasium. Every Hostel in the university gets its sports facilities and equipments separately.
Hostel Facilities
Hostels are old but they are renovated.Basic Facilities are available. Ambulance and Hospital facilities are also present. For food mess is there which serves Breakfast , Lunch , evening snacks and dinner.
Alumni/Alumna
The alumnu network of the college is very strong since it is a very old college. Many passouts are at a very good position in private and government sector. Seniors are very helpful to their juniors and guide them well.
Admission
I took the JEE main exam in the year 2016 and secured AIR - 142000 and State Rank of 1575. Then I filled my choices of desired colleges in counseling organised by Uttarakhand Technical University , Dehradun. I got AGRICULTURAL ENGINEERING branch in the spot round of the counseling. My college comes under Govind Ballabh Pant University of Agriculture and Technology which was founded in 1960 and inaugurated by former Prime Minister of India Pandit Nehru. It is also called as the harbinger of Green revolution in India. It is one of the oldest Universities in India and offers courses in Agriculture Sciences.
Faculty
Most of the faculties are doctorate holders from prestigious Institutes in India. They have enough experience and knowledge and teach well. They coordinate well with the students. Some of the faculties are a bit arrogant.
