Course Curriculum Overview

4

The syllabus is updated every five years. This enables the students to tackle the real world. In case of electronics , the syllabus is very much updated and deprepares us for real life application. Exams are taken very frequently. Two internals and one semester exam in one semester

Internships Opportunities

3

From S2, the students are required to build a mini project and many internship are provided in the college. Companies like TCS and Infosys provide the students with paid internship. In the fourth year, Students are required to do a six months internship outside.

Placement Experience

4

From the S7 onwards, students are eligible for campus placements. If they have a cgpa of more than 8. Nearly most of the students were placed through campus placement and average Package offered was 500000 per annum. And the highest was 700000 Per annum. After my b tech graduation , I plan to take masters in business administration.

Fees and Financial Aid

As fr general category which I'm from, yearly fees is 54000 for state merit quota and 100000 for all India quota. For sc/st/oec yearly fees is 2500. Sc/st/oec receive egrantz from government. For general category students , scholarships has to be apply the outside the college.

Campus Life

4

Technical festivals were held annually Although it has been stopped for a few years. The library facilities in cusat is great,as we have a University library and school of engineering library. There are many clubs actively working which include IEEE,NSS. Being a part of IEEE, one can surely build their skill sets and thorough NSS, the humanitarian aspects affect the person is greatly influenced. As for the campus life in cusat, cultural programs are held rarely

Admission

As for me, I got admission in government Engineering College Thrissur. I selected cusat, over gec was because of the branch I was getting as I was more interested in electronics than electrical. Regarding the infrastructure, Cusat is much better than gect. Cusat examinations and evaluation process were much smoother than in Gect. I got admission in Cusat through cusat CAT and they are got admission in gect through keam.

Faculty

3

In CUSAT, the student to faculty ratio is horrible. 70 students is to one teacher is the ratio. The exams are the exams held are very tough and is difficult to even pass. Many of the faculties do not take the effort to teach students. But one of the teacher who stood out the most was our physics teacher, asha miss, Who genuinely liked to teach us.

Night Life

5

After college hours , students can go for multiple activities like badminton,Basketball boxing etc. There are many hangout spots in the college. The locality is very safe to roam around at night. Hostel curfew is still 11 PM and campus 4 PM.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is the worst. Teachers rush through the portions so that they can finish at the earliest. It may be because the university has a unjustifiable timetable. There is very little practicals given. The ones that are given are just for namesake.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is under KTU syllubus do it's fine. There is a change in curriculum coming 2024 which i assume would make a lot of good changes. The curriculum gives you a head start For most of your work, you need to on your own but the faculty is there to help. The frequency of exams is weekly tests + monthly exams. Its not too difficult of an exam.

Currently placements are bit low, due to inflation, but compared to other colleges like KMEA, etc we have better placements similar to Muthoot and all. We have placement training, and other supports which can help us crack aptitude exams and prepare for placements Almost 70-80% students are placed every year, with an avg package of 4LPA

Placement Experience:

The students usually start appearing for campus placements in their 6th semester. The training for the campus placements is started for all the students from the 4th semester. Many companies visited for campus placements. But one main problem is that most of them were low packages. Around 4LPA. Some were between 4-6 and a very few between 6-10. Most of them got placed in our batch in some company.
