Dislikes
- The college canteen doesn't have good hygiene. The food is nice but the plates are kept everywhere and a lot of times campus dog were found licking the plates.
- The sciences labs are quite outdated. Some classes have very tiny space and sometimes student have to adjust to sit.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course is aligned to the subjects relevance. The practicals and theory are perfectly aligned to the course. The practicals do prepare us for real world application, we work in lab like we'd work in an actual lab with proper discipline and instructions. The improvement could be less use of powerpoint presentations and more board learning. In DU some courses like Ability Enhancement Course (AEC) in which we are taught language or EVS doesn't seems relevant. The level of difficulty is moderate in theory exams and practical exams.
Internships Opportunities
We are often offered unpaid internship. SRIVIPRA is offered by our college. It is an internship offered to students. It is an internship program in research and academics. It is offered to III sem and V sem students. In this internship students can work on two projects with assisstance of teachers.
Fees and Financial Aid
My college fees for first year was Rs17,425, for second year it was Rs19,262 and for third year it was Rs 23,185. In third year the tuition fees was Rs 300, university fees Rs 2,940, college student welfare fund fees Rs 4,300, college development fund fees Rs 1,800, college facilities and service charges fees Rs 13,145 and weaker student fund was Rs 700. My batchmates had a little low fees as they were from sc/st category. My college does provide some financial relief for students who are unable to pay fees.

Admission
I applied for Sri Venkateswara College. It was my dream to get into venky and I scored enough to get into venky. After my CUET result, I applied for colleges and I put venky at first preference and next preferences were Aurobindo college, miranda, gargi. I got aurobindo college in first round then updated for venky and I got venky in second list. I chose venky over other colleges as it has good infrastructure and good faculties. Venky promotes sports as well. We have a big ground and separate corts for badminton, cricket and basketball. To get admission in venky we have crack CUET exam. To get admission in BSC. LIFE SCIENCES one have to choose biology, physics, chemistry and english in CUET. The cut off for venky is nearly 96-99%. The admission procedure was easy, you only have to apply for your prefered colleges. Only important thing is to carefully fill your preference list.

The faculties are very approachable. They often help students nicely. They do understand if an emergency happens. Dr. Namita Nayyar from zoology department is very helpful and sweet.
