UIET , Chandigarh College Review

The semester is very hectic , it has 5 months which include 2 minors and one major exam as well as practicals and assignment. Good aspect is , teachers took classes and practicals regularly. It is tough to take out time for other things as classes resume till 5 pm .

Placement are good , not very best . The average package here is 7 to 8 lakh . If you are in tech branches you might get a higher package. Many companies visit the campus . The highest package here is around 45 lakh . Most of the highpackagejobs are off campus . Students also prepare for gate and other competative exams

Fees is around 450000 for one semester and around 35000 is activity charge which is paid annually. Also there are different fees for students applied under different categories.Also there is fees relaxation under various schemes like single parents , freedom fighter etc .

The social life here is very good . The environment is vey friendly. The campus is very lively for the entire 24 hours . You can see jamming at night time at gandhi bhawan . Also there are numerous clubs where you can showcase your different talents and learn many leadership skills from there also .

The hostel is best thing of the college . Since there are less hostels and more students. Everyone do not get hostel . Only 14-15 student from each branch get hostel in first semester. The hostel rank list is via jee rank . Hostel is very good and clean . Mess has very good and affordable food . You can also eat some snacks in canteen .

I got around 85000 rank in jee mains . It was one of the best option for me considering its ranking and structure. It is a government college and is under Panjab University campus ,hence it has all the facilities and is well connected. Life is good here . Also uiet placement record is also better than most of the colleges i was getting at this rank . So these all things led me to choose uiet over any other college .

Most of the faculty members are very helpful and approachable. The course include 8 semester . 100 marks for theory and 50 marks is practical. Out of 100 , 50 marks is emd semester exam , 30 is mid semester exam and 20 marks are for internals. Practical include 30 marks exam and 20 marks

Both girls and boys hostel are open 24 hours . The central ac joshi library is opened for 24 hours . Library canteen is opened at night . You can see people often jamming and sitting and chilling at night time at Gandhi Bhawan. Stuc , rose garden , pu market , gandhi bhawan are some of the places to hangout .
