Remarks

Positive: Competitive peer group, primary focus on academics, excellent placement opportunity, plethora of research labs. Negative: No extracurricular activities, high competition for securing a decent grade in a course, negligent administration, lack of funds for college fest.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

Course Curriculum is better than majority of the Indian colleges. But sometimes the coursework in a semester may feel a bit heavy for some students. But you get to learn new things. There are three exams conducted currently: namely mid1,mid2 and endsem. Sometimes there may be quizzes too depending on the professor. The weights assigned to these tests is in the hands of the course instructor.

Placement Experience

5

Placements are excellent and job opportunities are also available for everyone. Yes the college does provide summer interns to interested students. The stipend given is subject to the research lab hiring interns and also on the kind of work that the intern is expected to do.

College Events

2

Felicity fest, Cultural night, Farewell, Hackathons, Various talks The decision on final offer of admission is solely based on the interview performance.

Fee Structure And Facilities

It is quite expensive. The decision on final offer of admission is solely based on the interview performance.

Fees and Financial Aid

The decision on final offer of admission is solely based on the interview performance.

Campus Life

3.5

Extracurricular activities don't exist in this college much. It's mostly lays emphasis on academic research. Sports facility provided are very substandard. Labs are decent. All the computers are in good condition and many of them are provided with AC's.

Alumni/Alumna

Yes alumni persons and the senior students are very helpful.

Admission

For admission in btech in cse/ece, one has to apply through the jee main mode, meaning roundwise cutoff marks are declared based on the student applicantions. For admission in a dual degree course one has to give ugee entrance exam conducted by IIIT Hyderabad. It consists of subject proficiency test( 60 mins ) and research aptitude test( 120 mins ). Candidates shortlisted from this exam will have to clear an interview to gain admission. The decision on final offer of admission is solely based on the interview performance.

Faculty

4

They are fairly decent although real learning would take place on interacting with peers and senior and lots of self study. One must invest his time in learning the course content rather than unnecessarily worrying what marks will he/she score in some course.

From 4th year 1st semester, the students become eligible for campus placements. About 10-15 companies visited our college with minimum 3 lpa. And only 30% of students are placed in the campus placement. Companies like virtuza, movate, cognizant, hcl visited our campus for placement. The highest package was 4.5 lpa and lowest was 2.8 . My plans after getting degree is work in a reputed mnc.
