A glimpse of my college life

The course curriculum is very very relevant to the current industry requirements. The important topics in computer science engineering like Data structures and algorithms is given much weightage as we learn about them in 3 sems. The other important subjects like Computer Networks , DBMS , Object Oriented programming systems are given much importance. The curriculum prepares us for industry standards as we require to make industry level projects in our courses according to which we get the marks which help us in tackling the industry hurdles.The main areas of improvement in course curriculum are that the courses which are not much important should not be taught in a very tough manner.The exams are very frequent and very tough and we get much less time to prepare for them.

From 7th semester, students are eligible for placements.The placements in our college are very good.The average package is 15 Lpa whereas the highest package went was 90 lpa .In the final year , various big companies visit our campus to offer internship and pre placement offers. There are more than 150+ companies coming to our college for providing internship opportunities and placements. 90% of the students get placed after the college.My plans are to opt for the job after college completion .

The year-wise fees for the course is 10,00,000 rs .The fees for the even semesters (2nd, 4th, 6th, 8th) is 1,04,000rs and the fees for the odd semesters (1st, 3rd, 5th, 7th) is 1,08,000 rs.This includes the tution fees alongwith all the other kinds of fees and is the total fees for the semesters.There are some benefits to reserved categories like Sc, St, OBC like they first need to pay the fees to the college and after the payment of fees ,you get the reimbursement of the fees paid from the government which is nearly 95% of fees paid. There are also scholarship provided to the students according to their reserved categories by the respective State governments.There is no such decrement in fees from the college side on merit cum based.

There are mainly two kinds of fests celebrated in our college -one is the Tantrafiesta which is a technical fest where many technical competitions are held in which students from all over India could participate and there are amazing prize money in these events The second is the Abhivyakti which is a cultural fest in which various events like dancing , drama , singing and many other cultural competitions are held with amazing prizes and rewards.There are various kinds of extracurricular activities available in our college including sports like football, cricket, basketball, badminton, and indoor games like table tennis and chess available and also the inter-IIIT sports competitions are also organised .We also have social clubs for music, dance, drama, sports, singing, and various other art forms .

I choose this college as I was getting a good branch in a good college with good placements according to my rank in JEE. Also,this college was near my city,so that's why I opted it and got it also .I filled only this college in the counselling process as this was best for me so there was no chance of rejection. The admission to our college is done through clearing the JEE MAINS exam and the rank which we get there gives us the branch in the college.The cutoffs are very high like even if I give the starting cutoff for the college ,then it is 96.7%ile in Jee mains and it increases according to the branch .

The Faculty to student relationships are very good as we can ask doubts to them related to what they have taught.They also provide guidance for the various projects that we can make.They are accessible easily if you want to meet them. The Faculty which I liked is Richa mam as she very well co-operated my attendance related issues due to my health issues.The best faculties are Richa Makhijani mam, Jitendra Tembhure sir , Tausif Diwan sir and many more. There is sessional 1 ,sessional 2, and the final is end sem. Between these, there are numerous quizzes , projects , assignments , presentations, etc are also there. The papers here are very difficult and it requires a lot of hardwork to clear them. 15% students fail to clear the exams in the first attempt.The course curriculum is extremely relevant as per the current industry requirements.

The college campus is extremely good with gardens , fountains, E-gym and seating places available around them over which we can seat and hangout with friends. We also have a big amphitheatre where we can chill with friends at night after dinner or in between the time between the classes.There are separate gyms available for boys and girls ,night canteen as well as cafeterias are available.Also library is there where we can study whole day till 9:00 pm . The campus in timings are till 10 pm at night . The locality is overall safe around the college with no major problems happened till now .
