Course Curriculum Overview

4

So I chose this bcoz I have got here bsc in applied psychology many colleges are generally provides only ba in applied psycho. Yeah ye curriculum is very good you will realize that things in the starting classes how the teachers trained you, I think more technological advancements is the areas where they have to be improve, the exams are medium to difficulty I would say it's depend on how you are studiying but the fail ratio is very low you can get a idea from that.

Internships Opportunities

4

There are many hospitals where you get the internships in my course and if you do more time and score good you also rewarded as a stipend of 5-10k I can't tell about the tasks because I don't know about it, I am a 1st year student and I have told you that which my teachers and faculty told.

Placement Experience

4

After the 3years course completion and then you have to do 1 year internships which provides by the college and then you are eligible for the placements. I don't know about companies but they can provide in good companies like hospitals and big company counsellor. I guess highest is 15laks and average package goes 5 lakhs. 70-80% students got the placements. I wanna do msc in applied psychology and will be a great psychologist

Fees and Financial Aid

At first when you are going for the admission process in my course which is bsc in applied psychology you will have to pay 20-30k for registration which is refundable after the course completion and you have to pay the first sem fees, the semester fees is 32k which you can pay by anything upi, cash, cheques and then you have to appear for a small test of gk, basic English, maths puzzles etc then you have resgister for the course, but also our college gives many scholarships like one of the popular is sarvodaya which means if you have scored 90%+ and you father annual salary is below 2.5 lake then you got the 100% scholarship and if you have scored 85-90% then 75% and if you have scored 80-85 you will get 50% and last 60-80% will get 25%.

Campus Life

4

Yes, they have many programs and fest every months popular singers will come and many big franchise shops comes like dominos, Pizza Hut, wow momo etc. Every types of books are available in library you can isse. Yes, there are many sports events occur for the students and the teachers too and there is also the ncc is there for the students. Yes, many such campaigns is running.

Admission

Yes, i had applied for many colleges like bhu from cuet and research many colleges but the only main problem is many of them only provides ba and I want bsc that's the main problem and here my college gives the bsc and the fees is also not that much so that's why i chose this college. No, but I have rejected that colleges. Admission process is very easy there is no such exams are required you just have to pay the fees and seat in the class yeah but the scholarships eligibility is there I have already talked about it

Faculty

4

I will say the faculties are quite good the interaction between them and the students is very good they are highly supportive and also they provides counselling to the students like our debisa mam she is very honest and very good she act like a students helps in every aspects, I will say there is no such faculties wo is not good I likes everyone. So in every sem there is 2 exams one is minor test it contains two exams of every subjects of 25 marks means you have to appear for 1hrs for 1-2 chaps of the subjects which is minor 1 of the subject and then again 1 hours for 2-3 chapters of the subjects which is minor 2 exam of the subjects, you will get 10-15min break for seating in the minor 2 exam, then at last the end sem which is 50marks paper you will get 2hrs for this. And the exam is medium I will say it depends on your studies. The fail ratio is very low.

Night Life

4

Yes there are many facilities like cafeterias, library, swimming pool and many more. The night life is good you will get the food near the college in the college, one of the famous hangout places outside the college is Darjeeling cafe and inside the bakery students cafe. Hostel campus timing is 8am to 9pm

Course Curriculum Overview:

I think I'm a curious student. Integrating biology with technology is interesting Recently we are studying animal tissue culture plant tissue culture which is superb. Generating a plan from a single cell is truly something interesting. I was drawn to genetics and biotechnology application . This curriculum prepares a student for research and industrial purpose . We get to do lab experiments project work under professors. In my opinion improvement can be done by industrial visits Exams take place at the end of each semester and we have mid sems in between

Computers are so vast that masters is mandatory and therefore I have certain plans for that. However big scale IT companies come here and students of Computer science Hons have had placements worth 6-10 lakhs easily. My plans are to appear for the job interviews but not taking any as I want to study more.

College does provide internship opportunities both through the placement cell as well as department faculty. Semester 5 and Semester 7 students are eligible for placements. Average package is about 5.5 lakh per annum for microbiology course. Although placement percentage is on the lower side majority of students go for higher studies. Many prepare for exams like GATE, IIT JAM, etc.

college placements are good in this college with a number of good financial and consultancy firms coming in with new gen companies as well in the service and sales industry. moreoever getting a good placement in a top financial or consultancy placement requires a POR in a good society as a criteria, its not really required but adds to your chances of getting it. moreover you require to participate in a number of case study competitions for the same as well. my plans after graduation is probably working for a year or two after which i plan on doing my MBA. around 50-60% who apply get a placement.

In today's competitive job market it becomes important for the college to not just help students get degrees but also provide them with placements and internships so that they can have the experience needed to stand at a competitive footing with the rest of the candidates in the world. To look into this, St. Xavier's College has a Placement Cell run by Placements officer Mr. Niladri Sinha under whose guidance, various companies visit the college regularly looking for capable young minds to take under their wing and help provide them with the necessary exposure and experience so that they can combat any obstacles that they face.
