Remarks

There is nothing negative remarks about this college everything is fine. But the management was in a disarray at the time I was in the institution because it was a transition phase for Presidency as an institution from being a college to a university. It was a period of turmoil which I hope the present administration has sorted out.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

The university offer courses like B.A, B.sc, M.A, M.sc. Every paper of the course consist of 50 marks in which 35 marks are written exam and 15 marks are internal assessment. Also 50 marks for field trips are alloted. Mostly 3 theory paper and 2 practical papers for UG 3, PG 1 and PG 2. The examinations are conducted semi-anually as semester examination with each module covering adequate structure of the course.

Placement Experience

3

Placement and job opportunities are quite available as every year numerous private companies and sectors hire post graduate student (mainly). There is a placement cell situation and started by the college authority to look after the placement opportunities for students.

College Events

5

There are numerous events celebrated started from 2 freshers welcome conducted by 2 political bodies of thr college. Then the college hosts a fest anually which is named as MILLIEU. In sports, Presidency University Football League and Presidency University Cricket league are hosted. Also inter college sports take place.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is very much affordable for students of any financial background to cope with. The fees is collected semi-anually for every semester and a reasonable fees is decided for it. The college is mainly sponsored by state government of west bengal.

Fees and Financial Aid

No such loan or scholarship is offered to the students by the college. However the course fees is extremely nominal and special requests regarding weavier in course fees are welcomed. But if you are from backward classes like ST/SC you can apply for education loan to the government of West Bengal.

Campus Life

4.5

Extracarricular activities such as games, music events are commonly held. Debates, ellecution etc are also conducted often generally inter college competions. The fests were a time when people really inter-mingled.Quiz competition, movie screenings, football tournaments, cricket tournaments thronged the course calendar and the students can remain busy with these extra-curricular activities if they are tired of work.

Hostel Facilities

4

The hostel facility is average. Its just beside the college named HINDU HOSTEL. There is a cook who prepares food for lunch and dinner. The food is of good quality and menu is mostly decided by students. Every Sunday there is a grand dinner which is named "GRAND".

Alumni/Alumna

Presidency University has a tight-knit alumni association and there are annual meetings of each batch called Reunions. The foundation day, as well as the various fests, also act as sites of alumni meetings. The senior students were quite helpful, sometimes overtly so, and friendships made in college last a lifetime. The seniors and juniors all mingle together and do not have issues working or partying together. Academic notes are passed on from seniors to juniors for generations, so no difficulty on that part either.

Admission

At first I filled the application forms online it can be available in their official website http:www.presiuniv.ac.in/web/. And then downloaded the hall ticket for entrance exam. I cleared the entrance and was shortlisted in the merit list.

Faculty

4

The faculty members are available during the working hours of the college i.e. from 10-5.10 pm. There is a friendly environment all around between students and teachers which helps the students to approach the faculty in any matters including education related queries.

Placement Experience:

Techno India University has a strong campus placement. Several students got jobs during the last semester, and I am one of them. Some others choose to wait for better opportunities. Some joined good startups. The package was nominal as we were all freshers. After getting my degree, I planned to pursue corporate experience and then join a lab for my PhD.
