Course Curriculum Overview

3

As a engineering college curriculum is quite good. At first it was very hectic for me and my friends . Our class is too far from our hostel for s like it is almost one km but now we get used to it and manage our timetable. At first we took almost 25 minutes to cover this distance but now we can cover it in 15 or somtime in 10 minutes also so we get used now.

Fees and Financial Aid

My category is obc and i pay almost 1lac 20 thousand per year as a tuition fee in 1st semester it was like 85 thousand i paid during counselling and confirmation of seat in college and then during registration in college i paid almost 36thousand for hostel mess and registration fee. My friends whose categories are sc or st they do not need to pay tuition fee they only pays for tuition fee. According to fee structure fee is not constant in all semester sometime it is more or less but almost same. There is difference of only onethousand or five hundred.

Campus Life

4

Overall college is good campus life is also good. There too many clubs like cultural club debate club, tech club, e cell , and there are too many opportunities for sports and there is also ncc if anyone interested in army they can do better or civil sevices it will help students to built their personal and social development.

Admission

Actually i dont want to take this college with this branch (electrical) but i didn't get as musch as marks in jee for getting other college better than this college. I want to take computer science branch and also some other college. But as they say something is better than nothing so i took this and now i took it as a positive and iam trying to do my best.

Faculty

4

Overall all the faculty members are good. After they are nit's professor of course they are knowledgeable but some of them are very rude they don't even try to understand but overall good. For exam systems they take two class tests one hefore mid term and one before end term for each subjects and there is viva quiz practicals and then one mid term and end term. Mid terms are comparibility easier then end term.

Interview Experience

3

Till now i didn't face any group discussion interview but i have written my mid term exam class test and also mid term exam it was all quite good required facilites are also provided and i am trying to do new things.

Night Life

3

Night life is quite okay. For girls , girls are not allowed to go outside after 7 pm in the evening as tripura is full of tribals and also there is a commond road inside the college for local people so for safety this rule is made. And for boys there is not any rule they can roam here and there full night and day.

Placements in NIT Agartala are actually decent, especially for the top branches like CSE, IT, ECE, Mechanical, and Electrical. Every year many companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, L&T, Capgemini, Deloitte, Microsoft, etc. visit the campus. The average package is around 7–8 LPA for CSE/ECE, while core branches get slightly lower, and the highest goes up to 40+ LPA in some years. For other branches like Civil, Chemical, and Production, the placements are a bit lower, but students still manage through campus plus off-campus drives. What I like is that the placement cell is active, and we also get internship opportunities in our 3rd year which help us prepare.
