IIT Kharagpur from a girls pov

Well , all of us are here because of our rank , our course is pretty nice and developed , there are many good opportunities from core field in pharma oil gas semi conductors and much more ! Exams are quite difficult but if you are focused then they are easy , they are easy compared to other tough departments

All kinds of internships are available ! Off campus also are nice , people prefer IITians generally , on campus it's little messy but promissble if you have good skills and have good cg , off campus you have to apply on your own it might be little hard but promisable

Campus placements are quite good , 90 % will be placed and the remaining 10 % will also be placed unless they have no skills or cg , it is also quite luck based and unpredictable , my plans are doing mba in iim or go into pharma through core

It varies each sem , it is on average 1 lakh 50k , this sem it was one lakh 48 k 30 rupees where one lakh was institute fees and remaining for hostel mess fees , for sc st and management people there is no institute fees , their fees will be lowered to only 48k

Clubs are very active , there are many events going on , festivals are also very active , all cultures are celebrated , there are 2 fests that will happen in feb , tech fest and spring fest , all facilities are top notch , iit for a reason , def worth the hard work

The rooms are nice , (SNVH IGH ) and snig hall , I was lucky enough to get c block in snig , and other rooms are not that good , seniors rooms are nice , double rooms are neat and single ones are old but nice !

Getting into iit is a dream , so I wanted iit kanpur because it was my dream college but sadly I was behind few ranks , so I took the next best option iit Kharagpur ! I don't have any regrets it's the best thing happened to me , got to learn so much stuff here , exams are quite doable for someone who cracked jee with dedication because that will continue here

Some faculties are nice , some are just so cruel , there are many faculties who are very nice , and majority of them are cruel because they are old I guess , so it gets hard getting good grades because of their fragile ego , exams happen a lot there are 3-4 exams in 2-3 days sometimes , sometimes there will be no exams at all , it's quite unpredictable but doable if you're dedicated enough

Nights are completely safe , there are couples everywhere ! Dogs can be a little trouble but it will be fine if you mind your own business , for girls , there is no tension , there are security everywhere and outsiders won't be allowed at night , people hang out and explore the campus at night a lot it truly makes wonderful memories
