What Students Say

Likes

One of the things that i like about my college is its location as it is adjacent to thr nia building and there is a lot armed forces around our college which makes it a crime free place
The campus in itself is very nice the facilities are top notch
The overall college experience is also very fun the sports and college society are really engaging and fun

Dislikes

Lack of air conditioners in the summer it gets really hot
Poor canteen facilities its very often that you can see videos being shared of the poor quality and very unhygienic college canteen
Gates of college can be closed randomly and the security guards are very rude and impolite

Course Curriculum Overview

My course is ba entrepreneurship and small business + history which is a very new course being introduced a year before i enrolled its a very interesting subject it covers all topics related to business and the way our course is designed is that each student has to choose a major and minor in my case entrepreneurship is my major and history is minor

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 13000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

I do not know anything about scholarship programs as such but i know a few people who have got fee concession on the merit of ews. The admission fee that i paid was around 1500 and my yearly fees is around 13000 in total i will be paying around 40 thousand for my graduation

Campus Life

If we talk about student run social groups or societies i myself is a part of one such society called D-street and i am in the research and development department so the society is focused more on financial markets and it is the finance society of our college being a part of a society like these helps build your social character and confidence

Admission

The college initially was not my first choice including the course itself they were not on top of my list but i was eventually alloted the following course and college. The admission procedure is common for all students aspiring to study at delhi university you have to give cuet exam and then on the basis of your cuet score you will be rewarded with the course and college that you aspire

Faculty

Faculty members are mostly very cooperative as well as well behaved with the students the teaching staff works very hard in teaching and preparing students for the examination and put in a lot of hardwork on the other hand the non teaching staff is the total opposite being very rigid and rude to the students shutting the window on the students face is what they do they do not care about anything leaving the students to literally beg for something they deserve

Night Life

One of the nearest spot for students to hang out would be the khan market it is a 7 to 8 minute walk from our campus and usually students like hanging out there and i think the place is safe in accordance with to roam around at night

Placement Experience:

No offer made till now for anywhere to visit. Highest package is 300000. I will do my PG after My graduation and prepare for civil services.and also there is no sure for packages around 8 or 7 percentage CGPA.

Placement Experience:

From 6th sem students become eligible for placement cells.I have not many ideas about how the placement works in my college, though the average package is between INR 3 LPA to INR 5 LPA. The percentage of students getting placement is almost 70 percent. My plans after getting the degree is going for cuet pg to get admission for postgraduation courses in Delhi... particularly JNU

LAKSHMIBAI COLLEGE - UNDERRATED STAR

The curriculum activities are kind of normal. I really want something interesting like i got a teacher this sem who gave us different types of curriculum activities as assignment instead of making us write 12 pages that is waste of time and efforts in my opinion. A Worthwhile DU Experience

I applied to various colleges under Delhi University and got merit based admission in Dyal Singh College in English Hons programme in first cutoff. While in others, my admission was not confirmed basically because of the high cutoff like St. Stefan College etc. I am really glad to be admitted in this college which gave me many oppurtunities and a great faculty with wonderful campus. I applied for this college in first round of csas and freezed i didn't for any other college .The exam required for admission is CUET. my course is BSc physical science with chemistry and to be eligible for this course you need to have pcm in class 10+2.In cuet you need to give paper of pcm and a language is compulsory . Call of the Unbiased

Admissions are done through CUET UG and then CSAS counselling. The Science department of Dyal Singh College is one of the best in all of off-campus.
