Remarks

The best college in town.Have a well discipline maintained. Teachers are good. Professor are used to teach in professional manner. Time management gets better after coming here. humanities lab are best and are need to he attained regularly

Course Curriculum Overview

Mckv offer various courses and it is also NAAC A grade institute. Plus here you can do btech , mba ,mca , mtech , master degrees. Here in one semester there is 2 internals and lastly a sem paper, in which ypu have to get overall 40 for passing

Placement Experience

Here placements are good and gets improved Every year. ME and AUE get 100% placements every year 90% of CSE & IT students got placed every year of their passing. Yes college provide summer training internships, but you have to go to other place to do that.

College celebrate a no. Of huge events that can't be described. Starting from the frrsh year you are here to see FRESHER'S, TECHFEST, ROTA FEST, TECHMANIA, MCKVIE ROTA, 3 DAYS ANNUAL FEST, ANNUAL SPORTS, GO GREEN CLUB FEST, etc

Fee Structure And Facilities

Feasible as compare to other colleges, as I'm in 1st year its 40000 per sem now. In 2nd year i can have different types of fees. It can also increase or decrease. This year it got decreased by 900?. Quite feasible at the end

Fees and Financial Aid

College gives some fees of 5% or something for girls and any loan gets approved very easily in this college.bit there's some rule that you have to pay within this period. But if you are late due to some genuine reason, it will be considered and no fine will be imposed

Campus Life

Labs are superb, well maintained, all tyeps of sports are played here. Having a basketball court is the best which i have seen in my life ! All other extra cca are so well educated in the future way. I'm loving this.annual sports take place every year here.

Hostel Facilities

No i haven't opted for hostel but i have heard that hostel facilities are very poor, the students struggle to live there. The cleanliness is not maintained, food facilities are worse as i have heard till now.

External Expense: Rs.2000 - Rs.4000

Alumni/Alumna

Senior are too good. No ragging is here. Its a ragging free campus. Alumni is so good and wekl managed that one should come and look. MCKVIE offers free health check-up, MCKVIE gives huge donation to the needy.

Admission

I got admission by wbut counselling in year 2018, i got this college in 3rd counseling round, then i got admitted successfully here.i want to take IT somehow and waiting eagerly i got that, patience is the key for success

Faculty

Here all faculty are well educated from either IIT KHARAGPUR OR NIT'S. they help us to solve our problems. Speak to us in aa friendly manner. Gives the best educational knowledge. Create different types of videos to help us the things better. Motivate us more n more to achieve the success

Placement Experience:

The placement statistics are off the charts, with 367 offers being made to 361 students in the recent edition. The student can seat for internshps offered by diffent companies that visit th campus in their pre-final year, while they are eligible to seat for the placements in their final year only. Apart from this there also other restrictions for seating in the placements like Cg should be above 8.5 and there should not have been any disciplinary charges against you, etc. The companies visiting the college also have their own preferences for selecting the students. In 2024-25 the highest CTC is nearly 2.5 crores p.a. offered to a student of CS branch. The EC department getting the most number of offers i.e. 73.

Placements and job oppurtinities are less since this is an undergraduate college offwering honours degree. Though there is a placement and career councelling cell that looks over this matter. Placements are offered only in a few subjects, such as industrial chemisrty and computer science. The rate of placements are very high and come with high packages. Though I am not interested in placements, but I have started taking preparations for compititive exams. Such preparations are very supported here, rather than jobs and placements.

I feel the theory part of our curriculum isn't much relevant or prepares for real - world applications, only some basic information is what I feel is necessary, although the lab and the practical part prepares us for real - world applications and teaches us a lot of things related to photography, news paper page building, survey report, etc. I believe they should have a better approach and teach more relevant real - world or in demand market skills which'll help the students in the future. MCKVIE, a good college for its price

I applied for admission in many colleges like Siliguri Institute of technology, Heritage Institute of technology, Techno Main Salt Lake, Calcutta Institute of Engineering and management. (Through management quota) From the above, I got a confirmed admission in CIEM(Calcutta Institute of Engineering and Management) but i later opted for WBJEE Counseling to try my luck there. I put many colleges in My WBJEE preference list. It's very fortunate that I found out about MCKVIE at the last moment as it was a very good college considering its low price. From the colleges that i opted for both in counseling and management quota... most colleges were too expensive for me, or i was not able to get the desired course. MCKVIE was very suitable as I got CSE with a semester-wise tuition fees of around 55k. The admission process of my college was fairly systematic, I got Core CSE through WBJEE Counseling and got my seat throught WBJEE+JEE Rank. Overall admission experience was a bit lengthy process because it involved the Counseling procedures, but it was smooth and the officials were helpful and well prepared for all kinds of inconveniences...Read More
