What Students Say
Likes
- I think my college is kind of more of futuristic type.
- Faculty are all very well educated and are mostly from IITs and they have their qualities
- If i talk about academics i think its kind of easy and able to crack syllabus and can score good marks compared to other universities. They provide various hackathones and other stuffs for colleges students to improve their studies
Dislikes
- Mostly girls will likely to wear what they want and boys should be in formals
- Compared to other departments cse is kind of strict. They don't provide as any free hours
- We are compelled to come to college even though any events that are in going in college even through we are not interested
Course Curriculum Overview
I choosed this course because mostly IT is ruling the world and we have every opportunity that we can look forward to doing jobs and even starting start ups. I terms of real world applications they make us do internships and projects for practice and real world implementations. Teaching are all good they should be doing more kind of practicals rather than going with theories.if talking about exams we get enough time to clear the syllabus and get enough study leaves for exams. I think they prepare 3 question papers for each subject based on the difficulty level and will choose one question paper thats the way they conduct exama
Internships Opportunities
Mostly students go with the outside campus internships. Since i have not sitting for placement i don't know much about that. But students who got placed are given internships from there company that i know I have done internship outside the college named Quest innovative solutions where i worked as a backend developer
Placement Experience
From 7th sem onwards students will be able to sitting for placements. Based on the overall marks scored form previous semsters they will classify students according to the company criterias. Highest package is around 25 lakhs and i would say 8 Lakh's. Percentage of students getting placed is 75-80% rest will be going for abroad for higher studies and others will get disqualified
Fees and Financial Aid
My college fee is kind of fixed and yearly it gets incremented. When i joined it was 175000 or both first and second years and 200000 for both 3rd and 4th years. I think there isn't any concession for sc or st students. Fees is same for everyone and NRI students have to pay higher fees since they are from outside India. I kind of found several scholarships or financial aid that are available for students in my college portal. If you want you can apply for this kind of scholarships
Campus Life
Yearly they are conducting ethinic days where students will get to explore cultures of other students from different parts of countries. And there comes the sports day which is held of 2 days. Then other activities based on academics like hackathon and cultural fests etc
Admission
At firstly i choose Christ university over other colleges because its one of the best college in Bangalore and in india as well. Its having an eco friendly campus to study and other than academics they are well performing for other extra carriccular activities and we also have the opportunity to go for aboard for programmes as well. Talking about admission there are 3 levels. At first we want to give entrance exam for admission and then after that there comes the interview before all doing this we wanted to pass the basic criteria for applying like marks and percentage criteria of 10th and 12th exams. For applying for admission we wanted to pay a 1500 for registration fee
Faculty
Faculty to students ratio is perfect. In each sem we are having different facultys for different courses. Some faculty are bit harder to approach like they don't even know how to treat their students. If i talk about which faculty i liked most i will go with prof Adappalli krishna sir. He taught as about blockchain and conveyed concepts clearly and hes kind of friendly to everyone. Theres one named arun ma'am from cse department she's doesn't even know how to behave with students and shes kimd of hard to approach i think students are mostly afraid of her. If we talk about exams there are CIA 1, 2 and 3 for every sem for each subject Cia 2 is mid sem and are written tests. Other 2 cias are mostly mini projects, presentation and all. After there comes the main sem which we have to score minimum 40 out of 100 to pass and over all cias to pass 36 out of 90 and 10 marks Carrie's attendance marks.. Exams are easy to crack we know throughly about what syllabus is. Scoring in overalls cias and end sems are harder if u study well we will be able to score good marks... Curriculum is perfect sometimes there are unwanted things which we are forced to study
Night Life
Talking about nightlife around campus there isn't much any near kengeri campus but in central campus which is situated in kormangala there are many things we would get to explore like nightlife party and all going to pub etc. Gyms and cafeteria they are provided within the campus as well. There are 6-7 cafeterias in each campus i think like north canteens south canteen like that where students get to eat there native foods as well. Famous places to hangout like wonderlla near kengeri campus and others nandhi hills and city is kind of near
